My mom loves this stuff...I bought her 3 jars from the hair show in ATL! I think it's an okay product but I can live without it!

I've used it. It's not greasy like some of the jams, and it works really well for laying down my edges, especially when I'm late into my stretch.

I don't know what the consistencey of this product is but just looking at her apply it in the vid it reminds me of that elasta qp glaze.

I love some super slick shiny edges.

Hmmm upon viewing another one of her videos it seems she has that type 4 hair that slicks down pretty easily naturally:ohwell: if I could find someone with course 4b edges like me that had really good results....I'll be sold.

When i had a weave back in january Monique here in ATL used it on my edges it was very good in holding down my edges.

It wasnt oily or greasy like most products that ive used befor to smooth edges.

I thought about ordering some when i had my weave to smooth my edgest but just never got around to it....and really i couldnt see me having any use for it.

:drunk::drunk: Ladies!!! I had a great expereince!!!! I drove about 30 minutes away from my home to a Black - owned BSS:blush: and they were so friendly and had a SAMPLE of the EDGES!!!!!!
I was in shock. I could actually try - before I buy....
I slicked a side dowm very nicely!!! I was afraid that it would be greasy and nasty..not at ALL!!!!!!

My hair is still smooth... no hardness - no flakes, soft hair..... no pics - yet!!!!

I will update... I am sold. I bought 2 jars.

Also got a sample of "the roots" pomade. I tried that one too on the other side....

Poka...... Hicks would change your world!!!!!:yep::yep:

Love this stuff, It last a very long time as well. I had my jar for a little over a year. A little goes a long way. It doesn't make the hair hard either. It does have a shine/gloss once applied and smells so good. I think its worth the $15 bucks.

I loveee this stuff; now my edges would only lay and stay down for 1 whole day but I didn't experience any buildup, and so I would just reuse. It's definitely better than Elastic QP glaze; it doesn't become an oily mess after a couple of hours (at least that's what the Glaze would do in my hair).

I was using this for a few months last year, I like that it smooth it down without looking greasy but it left alot of build up. Also the consistency is very stiff(more than Elasta QP) and I had to spray with water so it would glide down better. I found that it stop working after a while so I never repurchased.

I love this stuff, however I do experience product build-up with it. I've only had it for a little over a week now.

The consistnency definitely reminds you of the Elasta QP glaze, but it has a longer, stronger hold to me. I'm a natural 4A/B and while I like QP, it 'melts' in my hair after a few hours. This stuff lasts a couple of days for me, no joke. I discovered this by accident as I applied this stuff, then put on two tight spandex like headbands as I was going to the gym. When I removed them, my hair was perm straight and kinda plastered to my head, no joke. So I think the key is to tie down after applying. I think I globbed too much on, so that may be the reason for the buildup, but I don't think it mixes well with other/greasy products such as oils either. I used this on my daughter's edges as well as a test(she's 4) and by the time she got home from school her edges were 'straightish' but sticking out everywhere...hence I won't be trying that out on her anymore, haha. Again, that may prove the theory of tying it down as I just smoothed down her edges and that's it.

To wrap this up, I'll continue to play with it, but I think this is the 'best' that's out in it's category (Jam, Glaze, etc.)

I would be the bun queen if I found this stuff and it worked...*le sigh* but I dunno if I can take a 15 dollar leap of faith... and the nearest BS that has this is like 50-70 miles away

because elasta qp "melts" in my hair too! and I would love slick edges...but I may fool will that murrays supperior pommade mentioned in the YT video....3 bucks is worth a try!

I have used it both relaxed and natural with good results yet my hair is fine. I like that it is not sticky but gives me smooth look.

Dang! I'm officially a product JUNKIE!

This was my experience, the staying power was very short lived!

I want to try this but that's what I'm worried about. I've tried about a gajillion products for my edges and I looked great walking out of the door, but by the time I get to where I'm going, my edges are frizzy and kinky curly again. :ohwell:
