BUT! I swear I think the FHI technique2 is better because it felt like the CHI added nothing to my hair, as if it sucked my hair dry. Did anyone else feel this way after using the CHI? I mean my hair was cute but it just didnt feel the same like it did when I used that FHIt2. I'm not impressed with the CHI :nono:

Sorry I don't have either just wanted to say that it came out very nice. I'd just say use what ever makes you happy and pass me what ever you don't like LOL :lachen:, It really looks good on you, very nice.

yea your hair came out really nice. I am thinking about investing in a new flat iron so I cant wait to hear peoples responses. My hair dresser told me the Chi would be a waste of money but I forgot the iron she recommended.

I haven't personally used one. But one of my coworkers bought one and she returned it a few days later. I thought she was overreacting but I guess I was wrong.

I dont like that you cant set the temp on it, and it just felt like it sucked the moisture out of my hair. Thats the only way I can describe it. My hair felt...different from whne I used my FHI and it weakened my curl pattern alittle which the FHTt2 NEVER did. So I KNOW it was sucking the moisture out and i have to put in lots of work to restore my curlies. That thing is in the back of my closet.:nono:

hey your are looking really good! i love it! i tried to straighten my hair once : it was total failure. i shoul by a new one but don't know what to buy..

I may just do that, I got it from Trade Secrets....I got a huge bottle of CHI heat protectant for free as well, wonder if i have to give that back as well lol

Didn't like the CHI. I sold it. I'm looking into the FHI but haven't been using direct heat now for over 6 months. When I do, I want to get the very best flat iron and blowdryer.

Your hair is gorgeous, though! :yep:

your hair looks really cute!!
most expensive flat irons never really impress me enough to invest-i'd just rather borrow from my friends. i've used Maxiglide, FHI, and the CHI that way....:look:

I think FHI makes a better quality iron but I havent tried very many. I see alot of women use that jilbere and baby bliss usually makes good products. Also with the CHI on some of my really rough sections I had to pass it twice but with the FHIt2 I only had to pass through each section ONCE. The more i think about it the madder I get because for that amount of cash the CHI should be the best. But I will say that I understand how white and asian women could love it on THEIR hair.

Get a ceramic ionic blow dryer and you'll be good to go, try andis, my blow dryer is the ISH. I only used low heat and low level this time because my kids were sleep lol and I didnt feel like them waking up talking and stuff. But I could have really gotten my hair straighter with my blowdryer on reg heat and reg power level.

Yeah, I would take it back if you really don't like it. I don't know the return policy at Trade Secrets but its worth a try. :yep:

:giggle: at giving back the heat protectant too.

Oh and I forgot to mention how cute your hair came out.

Find the Receipt. Pull it Out from the Back of your Closet. Return it and Get Your Money Back.:yep: Take/Give the Bottle of CHI Back too.:look: Don't keep it, if you can't/won't use it.:nono:

You can always find that (CHI) at a reasonable price.

You Hair Looks Really Cute Tho'

I thought the Chi was horrible. Don't get me wrong, it did straighten well. But at the price of really damaged hair. I like the Sedu better. It doesn't straighten to bone straight, but when I was flat ironing even with frequent use, the Sedu didn't kill my hair.

I definitely agree, the Sedu is by far the best iron I've used. I have a CHI too (the one that doesn't have a temp control) and I wasn't impressed at all, waste of money. I felt like it was damaging my hair as I was using it. My hair was straight yea, but it felt bad. Sedu always leaves my hair with a lot of movement, softness and shine.

I even stopped using the CHI Silk Infusion as my heat protectant too. I tried their spray heat protectant too and it left my hair a sticky, matted mess. Just not impressed with the line overall. I now use Nioxin Bliss Heat Protectant and it's such a conditioning heat protectant.

I didn't like the Chi. It was damaging to my hair and didn't have any temperature control. I haven't used mine since May 2009. I've heard from LeobodyC5 (YT) that the Maxiglide is excellent and keeps moisture in the hair.

Yes ma'am. I'm going to put it back in the box tomorrow and take t back some time this week

I love mine, but to each her own. I HATED the maxiglide. I never owned the fhi but I didn't like when my stylist used it.

I've tried the chi as well and wasn't impressed. I felt like any ceramic flat iron would have done that. FHI, CHI, and Sedu get a lot of credit up here. I haven't tried the other 2 but I'm in love with the Croc Infrared. Found it after a lot of research and not one bad review. I've used it 4 times now (not big on heat) and EVERY time my hair has come out smooth, moisturized and healthy feeling. Here is the review I did up here 4 the Croc.

There's many diff Chi's but the one I tried turned me off and I didn't feel it was worth the hype or the price. So I agree with your opinion OP.

I agree with the bolded... I washed and DC'd as usuall and pressed my hair then flat ironed with my friends CHI....My hair was really straight but it was dry and stiff. I was not impressed and knew this was not the flat iron 4 me

Now FHI irons are out of my budget but I have had great shiny soft results with my sedu!

I tried the Chi as well and it didn't work out for me. I gave it to my cousin and she has better luck with it, she loves it actually.
