Good Morning Ladies,

What are your plans/goals for your Hair for the New Year?

Here is mines:
Drink MORE h20 I hate water and this has been a battle for me.
Keeping it Simple, I plan to finish this transition and rock a curly from for my b-day in November.
Right now I am getting a wash and set which last me for 2 weeks after the first week I stated oiling with JBCO, then the other 2 weeks I will bun and incorporate some dc/and moisturizing within those 2 weeks.

I have 2 bottles of Hair Formula 37 left that I need to take, they just make me so sick b/c I don't eat right. Hey I paid for them so I will use them to there gone.

My hair is just barely touching my shoulder blades now and I want to get back to APL by the end of the year.

KEEPING IT VERY SIMPLE..

So that's mines in a nut shell what is yours?
 
*drinking more H20
*steaming
*trying out more homemade treatments than store brought treatments
*taking more chances with my hair (stop being afraid about trying different styles)
*curbing my PJism...its finally down to just conditioners but trying to use up ALL of my stash!!!
 
Drinking more water
More frequent DC's
Starting to trim my hair...I haven't touched since BC and it's time.
Keep taking my women's vitamins
 
to protective style ALL yr long
stop manipulating my hair while wet cause it dosnt like it
stay up on the protein moisture balance
and not cave in and relax again, I'm going to stick this transition out

-drink more water/less sugary drinks
-DO NOT talk about hair care with friends and family unless seriously asked for advice
-BC around november (2 yr transition) :spinning:
-overall improve diet and health, to reap optimal results in my hair

Drink more water
No braid/twist extensions
Use up all the products i have on hand (no buying)
Protective styling 90% of the year
Cut out red meat, sugar and ease up on the carbs
Make strength and weight training top priority.

  • No heat until December 2011
  • Start measuring my hair in inches so I can better understand my growth rate
  • Eat better and take more vitamins
 
1.Keep it simple withe products that I know work for me/ DD.
2.Keep mine and DDs hair stretched always to help with retention
3.Less trimming
4. Protective style about 95 percent of the year
 
- Incorporate healthy fresh juiced veggies and green smoothies into my diet. Again. *le sigh*
- Get back on my workout regimen.
- Stay consistent with my JBCO routine.
 
1) PUT. THE. FLAT-IRONS. AWAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!

This year I think I did some heat damage to my hair, and now I need to trim about 1/4 of an inch. For me that's kind of a lot, considering how short my hair is and how GREEDY for length I've become as of late. :look:

2) Try to remember and drink more water.

3) Keep fingers out of hair all the time! I really need to reduce manipulation and start wearing more protective styles.

4) Work on my twisting techniques and possibly learn to french braid. (I'll try!)

5) Explore ways to stretch my hair WITHOUT using heat! :grin:

6) Work on styling techniques in general. It's been 11 months now and I don't think I've really explored the possibilities my natural hair is capable of.
 
Drink more water
Take iron and biotin pills everyday
Stick to my regimen
Keep my hands out my hair
Wear more protective styles
Learn how 2 rollerset and rollerset once a week
 
  1. Do As much lazy protection style i can think of:grin:. I have been in mini braids for 3 weeks now & i am so proud of my self.
  2. Moisturize & steam more.
  3. Leave out dairy, i know this has nothing to do with hair but it a major part of my skin & health.
  4. Kick up the green smoothies & juices
  5. Not relaxing under crazy hair pressure
  6. I really want to dye my hair, so if i do, i will have to step up my protein conditioning.
 
Drink more water
Longer Protective Styles (keep them in at least 6-7days without touching)
Continue to monitor moisture and protein balance
Sticking to the products i know work instead of experimenting so much
Stopping my hand in hair syndrome
Continue on exercise regimen
Start back on my vitamins
No straightening with flat iron or blow dryer
Take progress pics no more than bimonthly (this was making me crazy this year sheesh)
 
-DC more
-Stick with the sulfur
-Do quarterly length checks
-drink more water
-get a shower filter
-stop going more than a week without detangling.
 
- Drink more water
- Exercise regularly
- Stay on this 1 year stretch
- Stick to the reggie
 
  • no touch up until December 2011
  • kinky twists/rope twists every 3 months, 2 week breaks
  • take my supplements every day (chlorella, MSM, biotin, EPO)
  • care as much about my internal health as I do my hair, skin, nails (more sleep, exercise 4 times a week, green smoothie daily)
  • be full BSL (no layers) by December 2011, after blunt trim/cut
