That's what this court clerk said to me this morning as soon as I walked in the door! Now mind you, I ALWAYS have my hair back in a bun, so how the

Now I did lightly dust my ends last night, but I am coming along very nicely toward my bra strap goal, thank you very much! She also mumbled something about thinking my hair was longer the way everybody talks about it, so that let me know the hate runs deep!

The really sad part is that her hair is all ate up around the front, back, and sides! And it breaks off so bad that you can actually see it all on her shoulders!!!

How long is her hair? LOL She had nerve to say your hair looked so short today even thought your approaching bra strap huh? Gurl...just hold on until the weather gets warm. Then sport all that bra strap length and BEYOND!

Whew! I don't leave my hair up for peoples personal opinion. They don't understand trims. They don't understand protective styles. They don't understand washing it more than once a week. They also don't understand the broken hairs on their shoulders and they don't understand why their hair is so dry.

Sounds so familiar. See my thred entitled, "My friend is an un-enlightened hater." You're getting it now, you'll always get it so we definitely gotta learn to deal with it. The more comments like that you get, the better you know your hair looks.

By the way, I saw the same "friend" I was talking about my thread the other day. My hair was in low ponytail and she says, "Turn around .. . I didn't know your hair was that long. Why don't you wear it down and stop wearing those ponytails?"(she was refering to my fonytail) I'm thinking these "ponytails" are the reason why my hair looks the way it does.

I get that all the time..."your hair looks really short today" like they would know anything about my hair. I actually know about moisturizing my hair whereas the dont. Also there is a thing called being post relaxer and my hair is growing well and that I have shrinkage, but 99% of the time there is no point in explaining to them

That just amazes me! Unreal! You should have told her with a big smile, "yeah, I just trimmed it a little, almost bra strap length IS very short for me!!!!" I could NEVER wear my hair as short as yours - Now that's SHORT and snap your fingers for affect like it's about "that" long! Plus I need my hair to be healthy and not all broken off and chewed up around the edges. Well, have a nice day!" I bet you wouldn't get any more comments from her! the lousy Hater!

Some people just don't know how to compliment others. I have a coworker that never once in her life said my hair looks nice when everybody else in the office says how lovely and long it's getting. The first compliment she ever gave me regarding hair was on my weave

. Also, a lot of females can't take competition, esp. when your hair is much healthier than theirs. I chalk it up as hating and just move on.

I hate that mess. I would have asked her point blank: "how do you know how long my hair is when I don't wear it down much?"

Then I would have said: "how long is your hair...hmm neck length, well it's longer than that." I wouldn't have been nasty, but I would have let her know in so many ways, you want to be stank, well let's hair compare.

That just really burns me up the things that come out of people's mouths! Whenever I see AA's with long gorgeous hair I got OUT OF MY WAY to tell them how nice I think their hair is, and I'm always met with thanks and appreciation. Maybe it's because these women are so used to haters (especially from us - other AA's - the main ones who should be most proud and supportive) that they're overcome with someone giving them a nice genuine compliment! If my hair was short and weak and broken off, I'd try to learn something from someone with hair I admire, not spread my hate and make them never talk to me! Just stupid! That's true! Her hate is eating up her hair! Hahahaha!
