I've worn a variety of braided styles (never microbraids though). My experiences with box braids, goddess braids, and cornrows was excellent, except the set of cornrows I got this past summer. My hair came out sooo bad after only having them for a week. I think its the synthetic hair. Besides that, my hair has always grown wonderfully with braids. However, if I ever get braids using extensions again (which I doubt) I will definitely use human hair. I know the synthetic hair wrought havoc on my hair last time. NEVER again.
