Well, she used to tell me our hair (curlier 3/4 type strands) curl up too much and take longer to loc (which was kinda true for me) and the products she was using would keep the style in place longer. My hair looked great..but the health of it was another story. Why?!? Your poor hair!!
I didn't know women couldn't loc their hair in the military. Learn something new everyday.
Sounds sticky!
What are you supposed to use on them? If I want to do these myself and not rely on a stylist, what am I going to need? (besides patience)
I'm kinda excited too. I'm not 100% sure about it, but it's either locs or a buzzcut...we shall see.
I love my length and can't wait to reach my next length goal but...i need a change!! And it definitely wont be a change back to chemically altering my texture...
POST PICTURES OF YOUR TWO STRAND TWISTS!!! I wanna seeee. Are you transitioning? what's goin on.
Im going to subscribe to this thread because I have really been wanting to loc since forever (but my SO & parents dont want me to).
However since I get bored easily, ill probably just exp temporarily with dred extensions.
"dreads" that they just twist their hair into, no matter the length?
Well, is it possible to start dreads on long black hair?
Or do you have to cut down and start wiht those twisty coils on short hair?
You can start locs at any length you choose..I have sisterlocs and I started them on natrual hair that was close to BSL.
oh and btw locs have shrinkage too...but afterwhile the locs condense and drop into place
