And actually fantasized about taking care of it? Like you start actually listing in your head what he/she needs and if they would ask you to do their hair you would right away agree to do it? Lol. I have done that at least three times and whispered to my SO "she needs her ends trimmed and a deep conditioner" . Anybody else can relate?

I have gotten so bad even the boyfriend has tips now. I need to shy my mouth and keep my eyes on my own ends before someone is trying to save me.

OMG I do this on the bus and train all the time. I see I'm not the only nut job.

yep... I do but I learned if u try to help some
they'll become dependent & don't wanna learn
never offer to pay or buy a hamburger..... Now I look & smile

When I see girls on the street with stiff hair that looks like it's desperate to be quenched and strengthened, I pretend that I'm their hairdresser, giving them a scalp massage and an intensive deep treatment. :look:

Lmao, you must do that walking away because if you looking at their dry hair and thinking you making them better your crazy lol

I just came in from Walmart and one of the store managers is extremely short. She really young and has very thin hair and everytime I see her, I want to pull her to the side and just direct her to the forum. She doesn't seen approachable, so I refrain.

I don't usually care, but this reminds me of a little girl I saw with bowrettes(sp?) that chew up the ends, in her hair. I wanted to tell her mother to keep those things out of her hair unless she is going to a party. But of course, I minded my own business:look:

All the time, folks I know and don't know. But hell if I'm going to offer, I have a day job and don't feel like doing my own hair half the time lol.

I do this with children mostly. Few things make me really upset, but I am so hot with one of my buddies right now over her baby girl's (age 11) hair. I urged her not to relax it months ago, of course she insisted, and now 5mos later its broken out so horribly, its anywhere from 1/2 inch to 5" in patches all over.
I really wish I could help the little girl grow her hair back, but moms insists on relaxing it, so there's nothing I can really do.

It's sad that she has to suffer the consequences for the choices her parent made for her Smh

Too right!

I do that with little girls and I'll often offer to do their hair. I cannot stand to see a little girl with jacked hair and her mom's hair is whipped.

LOL....all the Time! If I'm walking around with DH, I'll tell him what treatments the afflicted head needs. When people ask me hair questions, he tells them it's too complicated, and they shouldn't bother....which is Mean, cause his Mom and Aunt could Really use the help! :look:

Most of the time no, because I know my hair looks crazy sometimes. But at the last place I used to work, there was this black girl that worked there. Man...I don't know what happened. I mean it was bad. Really bad...

She was a pretty girl but from the looks if it, it looked like she damaged her with no lye relaxers and hair color (crazy that I can diagnose someone's hair like that). The majority of her hair was around color bone length but she had a tiny (and I mean tiny) portion at bsl. It was very damaged and see through, like it had fallen out from something.

It's a trip because this other black girl I worked raved over her hair one day. She was like , "Oh my gosh you're hair is soooo long and pretty . I mean soo pretty." She went on for like 5 minutes. In the back of my mind, I was like...now she know doggone well...People can be so phony. Had her and I become friends, I would have started talking about LHCF..

Nope. If I was a professional stylist sure. If you're prescribing in your head for the general public you should definitely get your license so you can help people and make a little money at it.

 This thread is sooo funny!...No, i don't feel the need to help strangers hair (even in my head), BUT family members and friends, i always wish they would listen to hair advice, BUT i figure everyone will listen once my hair is to my waist :lachen:

I notice jacked up hair more and I do automatically think of what they're doing wrong. I don't even look at the person at first, just their hair because my first impression of them are based on that now.

If I see a really dry natural.I strike up a conversation about hair and then make suggestions. Like I was on the bus one evening going home.I just started talking a natural sitting close to me. She told me her problem was dry hair and I ask her didshe co-wash and what products did she use. After she told me I suggested co washing and all natural products like Oyin and Qhemets Biologics. That way they feel talked but rather talked to. Hehe I'm so sneaky!!!!!:lachen::lachen::lachen:

Yes!!!! There is a lady that works in my building (different department from me though) and she has so super thin relaxed hair that always looks greasy to me for some reason. Like she flat irons it and then puts grease in it. Anyhoo everytime I see her I just say to myself (in my head) po little tink tink :( I soooooo want her to ask me about hair care even though I am by no means an expert and I haven't clue about how to transition if that were the case, she could remain relaxed if she wished (I've always been natural) but my heaven help me I would give her some kind tips and pointers

To sum it up her hair is horrid and needs some desperate TLC
