I use this the week before. After I DC though I apply this to give my hair an even Porosity balance before my relaxer. or color, mostly my relaxer though.

Otherwise I use it as a boost for my DC.

I use it after a shampoo or CW but before a DC. I do not mix it with water b/c it is pretty thin already. It did help with the brittleness I was having last year. I would suggest you experiment to see what works best for you.

Me too. A few weeks before texlaxing I start using my PC. Then after texlaxing I use a protein treatment, followed by PC, then finally a DC. This method has made the enormous hair loss I had last year all but disappear. HHG ladies!

I know there are some diff. ways that diff members use this but I personally used it right after I washed my DC out. I put roux pc on for a min and then washed it out. It was my final rinse.

I was scared to use it on my hair but I did today after my dc and my curls were poppin'. It made my hair so soft. I'm going to start using 2x a month.

There is one in Nassau county right past Green Acres mall if you're familiar with the area. But I've found PC in regular beauty supply stores as well.

Yeah, they held out on me a long time too. I didn't think I needed porosity control either. Until I saw Gabannagirl's post on caruso rollers. She credited the strength, shine, and looser curl to it; and endorsed the acv rinse and Fermodyl 619. I have been sold since. I tried it and said, where have u been all my natural days?

Put a piece of hair in a cup of water. If it sinks your hair is porous (my ends sank) and if it floats your hair is healthy.

When you say this, do you actually mean that you wet your hair with PC and then rinse out just prior to applying the relaxer cream??

Personally I use mine directly after rinsing and before neutralizing.

I'm confused......I thought if your hair floats without EVER even considering to go under - that you have LOW porosity and therefore you need to focus on opening the cuticles to get moisture in, then closing to seal in the moisture....

Somebody help me out here.

My hair floats and I know I have moisture issues aplenty!!! I have the PC but if you have LOW porosity - can you still use PC and if so, HOW?

1) there is a Sallys in Queens

2) you can get porosity control at some BSS here. I got mine in Washington Heights while looking for cellophane.

I know on Traycees site KISS, this is what it says. I know there is a lot of confusion on the sink or float test. Most places I've been to says if it floats, your good. So I'm just going to say majority rules on that. Here's a good article. The last page on the first link talks about the sink/float test. And yes you can still use PC on low porosity hair. I think you still use it the same way. Regardless this article really helps. Also google low porosity hair you should find something on there too.

Yes this is for porous hair. I mainly focused it on my ends because my ends were sinking in the sink or float test. And yes its suppose to be equivalent to an AVC rinse.

What is this float test? I use PC as a weekly staple as well, second to last rinse after DC. My last rinse is with ACV.
