Senegalese twists and natural hair can be tricky, especially if you are a type 4. Not saying they can't be done, because they can, but that particular style isn't best for beginners because you have to get the ratio of kanekalon and your actual hair just right so your hair doesn't slip out or the twists don't unravel. Now kinky twists are pretty easy for anyone to master, as are box braids.

Yes... this is what I figured out... I'm 4a/b and the Senegalese twists definitely are not working. I am going to try again with the box braids and master those before I branch out into twists of any kind.
