Is it okay to wear a yaki ponytail as a protective hairstyle. I have a little below chin-length hair and i was just wondering how I could keep the length i have and grow out some more. Any advice is appreciated. And to the ladies who have worn the phony ponies before, how many packs of hair do you by and what inch. Thanks so much

Hi meka,
Maybe you should do a search on the phonytail method or phonytail that will give you alot of info on hair to buy and how to use it. I sometimes use the one that has a small round net inside and I fasten that on my real hair bun.

If I want curly, spring hair, I buy two packs of hair. However, if you want a straight pony, you should invest in a drawstring one. I only like to buy wefts of hair for small curls, so that I can place it perfefctly on top of my hair the way I want it to fall.

Right now, I'm wearing a straight, kanekalon, drawstring one about 14-16 inches long. So, inches is all a matter of preference. Just keep in mind that whatever you get should flatter your face, and you'll be okay.
