Chipmunk, would u know where to get a copy of that interview? I don't know anything about her and to be honest, I'm surprised that she isn't as famous as all the other models (Naomi, Tyra, Iman etc.)
It's not often we get to see beautiful celebrities with real gorgeous hair!!!

she is very famous...in the entertainment circle anyway.
she was in maxwell's video (can't remember the name of the song).
i agree her hair is very thick and pretty. i wonder how she keeps it so nice with all the manipulation that comes with modeling.
She is from Martinique originally, born in France just like me. She is black looking white or bi-racial, People of Martinique are very much like that. We come from all shades there, all very beautiful. Martinique is a little French island, but a uge "mixing pot".
I just read the article, I didn't know her mom was from Guadeloupe(french island). Guadeloupe is Martinique's sister island. Only the island of the Commonwealth of Dominica(not Dominican Republic) separates them both.
awww, it feels good to talk about home! Sorry guys!

Im safely assuming she's biracial...Loving the hair, wow!

She's not biracial, both her parents are black according to an interview w/her in Vibe mag in 1995.
I would love for my hair to one day get that big.

Oh, okay. At first I thought she was white because of some of her features then I saw the hair and thought maybe she was mixed. Either way, she's quite beautiful.

Dry or not, the girl is doing something right. She's got a lotta hair and it's all hers!!! Anyhow, those are just her modelling pics. I would like to see how she wears her hair everyday when she's not working. My suspicion is that it's probably not much more different. I've noticed that many of the long haired sistas in europe don't wear they hair as shiny and glossy as we tend to do in the US, but they still have healthy, gorgeous hair.
Hi Caramelkiss,
You are right, about the shine issue. It is because we have mostly european shampoo and productc etc... we don't have a variety of products adressed to our type of hair(things are limited). Like for example the oils. I didn't know about using oil in my hair before I moved here in the US. I used l'oreal shampoo (I like the l'oreal smooth- intense serum though
)before my aunt who lived already in the US at the time, introduced cream of nature shampoo to us. My hair was nice, but now it's nicer, healthier and shiny, a shine I didn't have before.
Was ignorant about a lot of things. But now I know

Hello Zanna
Off Topic: It's amazing what u learn from other cultures. I know in India for example, conditioner was unheard of several years ago. It was just shampoo and amla oil (there are other oils they use too). But the women there have gorgeous hair (albeit the majority is straight haired or loosely waved)
The US has the widest range of products no doubt about that, but the ironic thing is some of the world's largest hair companies are from Europe: France (L'oreal), Germany (Wella), but alot of the stuff they make and that I want to get my hands on is available only in the US market. But I think that's changing.
Anyhow...I'Ve noticed too that the ladies from the Caribbean islands and S. America also have gorgeous hair & also don't have the product availability that we have.
