I was asking my little brother if he ever used Sportin' Waves on his hair, because I was curious about the pomade. So he said, "You mean the boxed kit with the cream?" I said, "Okay, yeah." He said, "Yep, I tried it once. You put the cream on and it burns the hell out of your scalp. I'll never do that again!! I don't know how you women do it, but I understand what you go through."

I had no idea it was like that. I was thinking Sportin' Waves worked something like Jheri Curl. I just thought it was enlightening that a man knows what it's like to have a relaxer burn. That was a couple of years ago and the pain is still fresh in his memory. You all should have seen his face while he was talking about it! :lachen:

Well, that's one guy who won't be insisting on his woman relaxing her hair. So once I reach 100% natural if a man asks me to get a relaxer, I'm going to say "Sure, if you get one first." :lachen:

Guys, my brother used to put that in his hair... in fact, both of them did. My brother that lives in Japan had kept it on too long and it made a little come out. He covered his temporary bald spot with one of those west African hats  And I photoshopped all of our pictures to make it look like he had hair in the front. He'll NEVER use that stuff again he told me.... Yea, right
