On the Grow and Keeping it Simple
Okay, I was in my friends room (a guy I'm considering) and he was asking me what I had done differently to my hair. I thought he was talking about my hair being flat ironed for the first time in a LONG time. He said, no. So I said, "Oh, I got my haircut over Christmas break, you just couldn't tell because my hair is always in a bun." He yelled, "How much? what for?" 2-3 inches. Next thing you know he's telling me about how much work it takes to have healthy, long hair, and to grow those 2-3 inches, telling me! He told me about how is mom takes vitamins and about her regimen. I would have laughed if he wasn't so serious.

Do any of you ladies have/know a hair obsessed man, trying to give you hints and tips?

YUP! Every man with cornrows will tell you about how long it took them to get some 'hang time.' Any man with dreds will know also. A man that has never grown his hair out may not know unless he grew up with a mother or sister/s or a grandmother.

One of my brothers asked for some tips the other day. He wanted his 4 a/b hair to be softer. We'll see how long he stays on the hunt for products that work for him.

Off topic, but funny: When he was in high school he grew his hair out and was proud at how big it got and how long he went without cutting it. I don't think he was particular about what products he used though. He kept it cornrowed. One Christmas he went to shaving it off. After the family was done exchanging gifts he said he had another present and took off the cap he had on. He had shaven it down to just about bald, but he wasn't done so there were large patches of hair left all over his head. He was just being funny with it. It made my mom sick just looking at it like he was diseased. Her reaction was too funny.

Yea, my online friend/brother, always telling me what vitamins to take, and what conditioners to use, and general advice. Haha he like my lil hair Dr, he even there for the pep talks, when im feeling down bout it im like "robbbbbbbbbbbbbb i need help"

And this boy i went to school with he has a healthy long fro, he always telling me "wash it every 2 weeks, braid and oil it"

and they both beleive that black woman can have long healthy hair, and will snap on anyone who says we cant! haha
