Re: Wish I had never henna'd - Things are turning around!!!

henna dried my hair out realllly bad too. i only put water in the first batch and olive oil and water in the second. i'll never use it again. i could never get my hair back on track after i used henna. i'm jealous of everyone that it worked for.

Henna is definately a YMMV (your mileage may vary) situation. I think my hair was slightly dry the first time I henna'd last year but not anymore and I don't even deep condition afterwards AND I use shampoo to wash it out. I leave it in until I decide to wash it out. My mixture is just henna and amla powder...afterwards use my Elucence as a leave in and follow up with coconut oil and recently I've been adding the Chi Silk Infusion...sorry to hear about all the bad experiences.

I'm texlaxed and use henna. You do have to deep condition afterwards. I deep condition with heat. I don't add anything to my henna. I do add a little salt to the indigo.
Hope it works out for you.
What does the salt in the Indigo do? Thanks for reply? bonjour

I LOVE HENNA
