Ok, so I know I'm a little late to jump on the WGO bandwagon but I really like this stuff!! I decided to give it a try yesterday when I was in Sally's and I am loving it!

So I am curious to know: When and how do you use WGO??

-Monique

I use it on wet hair, b/c in my opinion, that's the only way the smell will dissipate... when I put it on dry hair, the smell just lingers around and it's not a sexy smell! /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif But I think it's great for control and for the ends of hair.

I agree with Caramela. If you use it wet, it doesn't smell as bad. I use it both wet and dry. Even though my bf hates the smell, it's the only product that I've used steadily since 1996. I've tried to switch up, but nothing else leaves my hair feeling they way WGHO does. I love it.

WGO is excellent. I use it on my scalp and my hair ends. I use it very sparingly though as it's very concentrated. i also add about 10-15 drops of it to my ORS Carrot oil to give the product better moisture.

I use it on wet hair prior to roller setting concentrating mainly on my ends. It also helps to soften the roots when the new growth kicks in.

I use WGO every time after my hair has been freshly shampooed. Like Caramela said the smell does seem to dissipate as my hair dries. I squeeze about a quarter size amount in my hands and apply to the last 4-6 inches of my hair.

I used it once to wrap my hair (while wet) and my hair came out too heavy and greasy. So I now just use it as a hot oil pre-treatment along with a couple drops of rosemary oil.

I use WGO as an alternate to ORS Carrot Oil or PCA Moisture Retainer. Sometimes I use it for days straight; other times, I use it every other day. My hair is thick and coarse, so daily use isn't a problem for me. The smell really doesn't bother me that much. It makes my hair soooo soft. I just love this stuff!

I do have to get used to the smell. I wonder what ingrediant is making it smell that way? It has really heloed to soften my new growth.

Does the Rosemary Oil help to take the smell away or does it have some other purpose?

-Monique

Rosemay oil does mask the smell. However, rosemary oil has its own unique smell that might take some getting used to. Some people on this board report that rosemary oil has a medicinal smell. So, the reason why I add rosemay oil to my pre-treat and conditioners is because its suppose to stimulate hair growth.
