Wig + Club + Co-Workers=??????

So I just found out that there's a mixer at my job for us young people...Its supposed to be dinner/clubbing/casino (not in that order)...I know I can't make it to the dinner, but I def wanna go to the casino and club (because I'm new in the city, and never get a chance to go out, because I don't know anyone) This would be a perfect time to do so, plus I'll be with people I'm around on a daily basis, and for the most part I'm cool with...The thing is, around work, ALLLLL I wear now are buns...(I'm transitioning) I bought a FLLLLY wig the other day, and I hadn't planned on wearing it until I go back home (to houston) next week....I'd love to wear it out, but I don't know what MY CO WORKERS will think...I'm not sure if I should care, but I guess I'm real sensitive to that kinda stuff this week (long story)...And, in this city, it's okay to smoke in bars/clubs..(I'm not used to that...at home, there's no smoking anywhere near those places)...I don't want my wig to smell like smoke before I get to show myself off @ home! So what should I do? Should I say *** it, and wear the wig anyways, even though I know the next time I go to work I'll be in a bun, or just rock the bun while out and add acc to make it fly?

I say wear it. Are you thinking that your coworkers will know it's a wig? I think most wigs are spottable (<---made up word) as fake. I go around sometimes playing "spot the wig" in my head and when I wear mine I know people are doing the same.
You sound pretty excited about it, so I think you should totally wear it. Can't you wash it to get the smoke smell out? Post pictures if you do decide to wear it

LOL, nah I don't care about people "knowing" it's a wig...it's just the "oh wow what happend to your hair" question when I come back in to work on Monday lol...And def, I'll have pics up if I wear it out!

And I'm sure I could wash it, but it's synthetic, and I don't know how to wash synthetic wigs just yet...Any suggestions?

LOL and it really wont be that hard to tell that it's "fake", cause my real hair is back of nl, and this wig is apl! plus, my hair is jet blk...my wig has like 4 different colors in it...but non of my real hair will be out..it's a full wig with bangs...I love it...

i think you should wear it. plus with transitioning hair and the *senstive time* that you are having...hair will just be one less thing to worry about.

i say wear it. From the decription of ur hair vs. Ur wig...clearly they will know its not urs...so what else u gotta lose!

is a phony pony an option? when i'm scared to wear a full wig i do the ponies. whether fake looking or not, at least they can recognize its me b/c nothing is in my face......
