Hi Ladies last Saturday I went to the club and sweated the hell out of my synthetic wig. Now I'm afraid to put it on cuz I really don't think it's hygenic(spelling?). I flipped it inside out when I got home to let it air out. So my questions are:
-can you and how do you wash a synthetic wig?
-how do u dry it?
-how do you restyle it?

Any suggestions welcome. TIA.

Hmmm...I think that synthetic wigs really aren't of the highest quality so the hair will likely end up matted/tangled beyond repair.

If you do it, I'd suggest using warm or cool water, not hot. And make sure to use a diluted, really gentle shampoo. I'd just dip it in the water a couple times and swish it around...then put clean water in the sink and do the same thing. Also, I wouldn't manipulate (brush/comb through) while it's wet because that will mess up the style (if it's curly/wavy) and may cause tangles.

i have that same style wig and i washed it in the sink the other day. just dunk it and swish it. i dried it on my shower head, got that tip from the wig thread. when it dried i brushed it back to the way it was.
