I've been wondering about that also but i will not question it too hard because I always get good results with it.

From what I've heard..the only reason mineral oil is bad for the hair is because it attracts build up easier than other oils...it does help hold in moisture, however. In the LeKair, it's not on your hair for a long time so it shouldn't be a problem. Me personally, I'm not as anti-mineral oil as I used to be. I don't think mineral oil is damaging to the hair in anyway. I do prefer natural oils, though. Perhaps others can comment on this more...

While I don't seek out mineral oil on purpose, I've lightened up a little bit and will tolerate it in a rinse out product where it isn't the 2nd or 3rd ingredient. I still wouldn't want mo in a leave-in.

Not because I think it's a harmful ingredient, but because it's just too greasy!

Good Question....I've noticed that my favorite products (mostly keracare) have mineral oil as an ingredient. And my hair seems to love Humecto so I don't worry too much about it. I guess my hair "likes" mineral oil.

I agree with you. I think mineral oil and petrolatum are more of a problem when they are applied to the scalp for some people. They can attract dirt and clog pores. If you combine that with infrequent washing, it can add up to an unhealthy scalp which can stunt growth and cause breakage. Conditioners aren't on the scalp as long as greases and hairdressings, and they are usually applied more to the hair than the scalp.
