Looking for a Good Cholesterol without Mineral Oil

Hi All,
I need your help. I am looking for a good cholesterol that does not contain mineral oil. I really like Hollywood Beauty Olive Oil Cholesterol but it contains mineral oil. I am using Lustrasilk Tee Trea Oil Cholestorol but it is kind of thin -- it does not contain mineral oil, I use it for prepoos.

Also, what exactly is cholesterol itself -- I am familiar with these conditioners and have been using them since I was a baby, but I am wondering what this ingredient is and if it is possible to buy it in a purer form.

Thanks in advance for your response.

I was just thinking about using this conditioner again...I did a few searches and I found some info on the different brands of cholesterol, I'll bump it up for you.

The only one I can think of is Hairlox. But it became impossible to find (discontinued?) so I switched to Lekair. Lekair has mineral oil in it, but it's good stuff. The Hairlox labels says:

"Manufactured by the Hairlox Company, Tuxedo, MD 20781. Distributed by Miss Africa, Nairobi, Kenya."

Deionized water, cetyl alcohol, stearalkonium chloride, cholesterol, jojoba oil, aloe vera, acetamide MEA, hydrolyzed animal protein, panthenol, peg-75, lanolin, laneth-15, vitamin e, methylparaben, propylparaben, fragrance, fd&c yellow #5.

the best one that i have ever tried is Silk Elements Cholesterol. It's a yellowish color with a brown top. I LOVE this. My hair has never been softer. It has taken the place of the Lustrasilk Herbal Cholesterol I used to use.

co signing with bellydancer on the silk elements. that stuff is great! And it CHeap too! I only wished that they sold it in the 5lb tub like cholesterol.

This post really shows that all hair is different. My hair hates Lustrasilk, SalonCare, and Silk Elements. My hair likes the D&L dry hair healer Cholesterol (Smells like chocolate). It does have mineral oil in it but its great for my hair. I believe cholesterol that is used in conditioner is a type of lipid.

I've been searching for a cholesterol without mineral oil also, but haven't had any luck so far. I've used LeKair, Silk Elements and Lustrasilk. The Lustrasilk Cholesterol with Aloe and Silk Elements are my favorites, right now.

This isn't really a cholesterol treatment, but to me it feels like one it's Tropical's Milk Protein Conditioner and it's doesn't overload or make your hair hard like normal proteins, I've even used this after Aphogee to soften my hair.

I agree with you that our hair is different. That is why growing hair is so expensive, it is important to try and see what works for you. For instance, Lustrasilk is great for a pre-poo treatment for me, but I worry that it is not enough for a deep treatment. I love Hollywood beauty but it has mineral oil in it, so I am looking for something without mineral oil. Maybe I will try silk elements.

If you are referring to Silk Elements Mega Cholesterol, mineral oil is the 2nd ingredient.

Yea i looked at the jar today and it does have mineral oil in it. I'm sorry I forgot, but this is the best cholesterol I've tried yet. It's really thick and smells great and leaves my hair soooooooooooo soft. You can get it at Sally's and it's on sale now for $3. IT's regularly $4. Um.. oh yea if you mix it with Olive oil it's even better! I have never seen a cholesterol without mineral oil in it. THe new Lustrasilk formulas have mineral oil near the bottom of the list where as the old one had mineral oil as the second or third ingredient.

I just purchased Blue Magic Cholesterol conditioning rinse. The jar says it prevents hair breakage. The ingredients don't list mineral oil. I haven't used it yet. Has anyone tried it and can give a review.

Ingredients: Deionized Water, Stearalkonium chloride, Cetyl Alcohol, PEG-100 Stearate, Stearyl Alcohol, Petrolatum, PEG-60 Lanolin, Aloe Vera Gel, Cholesterol, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), DMDM Hydantoin, Fragrance, Yellow & REd 33.

It has petrolatum, though, another ingredient I dislike . Can anyone tell me where I can just get pure cholesterol? Is this possible? This makes me want to make my own cholesterol. Is that possible? I heard that the closest thing to that is a mayonnaise treatment, but you cant really use that post shampoo, dirty, yuck.
