I think it matts because hair naturally sheds daily and when the shed hair isn't combed out or allowed to be released when washed, over time it will matt and dread up.
godsflowerrrhad that problem when i took my weave out!!! it was a nightmare!!!!!!
yeh well i had weave in for 3 months and i was ok then but im a bit worried about this one as i will have it in for about 2 months-but ive been washing this one alot more than the other one and was worried that maybe washing it more would cause matting which is why i asked..i didnt really have a matting problem with the first weave though.so fingers crossed.
I agree with the group. However, I think to eliminate or at least lessen matting, you can try each night to go through hair and loosen any tangles you feel with your fingers. I have braids in now, and each night, I go through and use my fingers to GENTLY loosen debris in scalp. This also helps prevent matting I believe, b/c you are not letting dirt and shedding tangle up on each other.
