Why does everyone use Fotki for their hair albums?

It seems that everyone who has an album uses Fotki--why is that? Is there a special LHCF discount that I should know about? I guess $30 a year a'int bad but aren't there some comparable free ones out there?

Fotki is free unless you want a premium account. Also, fotki lets you save other fotki members as friends so it's easier to find people's albums.

I a new fotki member and a longtime holdout. Blame it on true laziness. But it is really easy and the fotki friends feature is nice. I like being able to place a comment on someone's album w/o signing in--and in some cases people allow only fellow members to post. I'm a free member, so I can't comment on the premium account. However, I'm so darned lazy with my picture taking/posting, I'll just stick to what I have.

It was the first photo site I ever used and I just loved it. When I upgraded to premium, I loved all the features, esp being able to post pics and store an unlimited number of them and have numerous albums. Also I like that you can order printouts if you want to. Maybe other sites offer these features too. But I hate to fix what ain't broke so....

I have a free Yahoo account too but hate that I can't post pics from there and that there isn't enough room to describe the picture (and y'all know I can ramble). Maybe that's what put me off trying out other free sites.

It seemed much better to me that my Yahoo account, I love the features and $30 wasnt bad at all to store unlimited pictures and be able to link to other sites.

I really like Fotki. I have a free account. I enjoy saving friends who have Fotki accounts, you can organize the photos in folders or files, and the photos are always visible unlike Yahoo! photos which timed out every time more than 5 people tried to access it.

im using the basic free account. i chose fotki because it's easy and understandable to use. plus, i like how it's set up and organized.
