Why do you twist on dry hair?

What's the difference between twisting on dry hair and twisting on blown out hair?

I don't think there'd be much difference, except in the case of the blown out hair you applied heat on your hair, an unnecessary step--for me anyway. My twists would look the same whether I twisted on blown out hair or just airdried stretched hair.

you'll save yourself on potential heat damage for one. I do believe that blown out hair will look longer.

Ladies, I tell you that twisting on air dried hair is a blessing for me.

Beacause my hair is medium length ( chin length on the side, neck length in the back) how can I control looking like buck wheat in the morning? I dont want my twisting sticking every which way but loose. I know to sleep in a silk bonnet, but should I pin my plaits down?

Twisting on dry hair is easier for me than twisting on damp, plus I don't get any tangles/knots when I do, also I don't get as much shrinkage. Dry twisting FTW!

I do twists on both, depending on the look I'm going for. If I want something cute, shirt, and super curly, I do wet. If I want twists that I can pin up, pony tail, or if I want an elongated twist out (which is rare since I generally hate twistouts), I do dry. I stretch my hair with roller sets, let it dry, and then do the twists with some kind of butter or creme moisturizer or maybe even HB castor oil

Personally, I think my blown out hair shows just how undense my hair is, but its definitely longer.

Here's twists on blown out hair

Twists are thin, spacey at the roots, pretty boring, but longer

A little thicker, curly ends, not as spacey at the roots, but they dont hang as long

I've twisted on both wet, damp and dry hair(air dried and blow dried) depending on the look I want. I'm currently wearing a set of micro twists that I did on dry BLOW DRIED hair. For my hair the difference with blowdrying is a smoother looking set of twists as well as additional length than just airdrying.
