I dont have a youtube account but someone should go over there and help her....post the link to this site or something. If she comes we should embrace her with open arms.

I did already! Well I gave her some suggestions that worked for me when I was in her boat.

I've tried to do it several times since I first read this thread. For whatever reasons, my browser just doesn't like YouTube, and it won't let me do anything. :ohwell:

I dont think the girl in this video is following Ateyaa's regimen exactly. I dont think Ateyaa's really posted her whole regimen anyway. I think she did videos of her use of Aphogee products and how she perms her hair. She also has some videos where she applies wigs. She made her videos after people asked about her hair after seeing her hair in her make up tutorials.

The girl in the video is just starting on repairing her hair. She may find LHCF or Nappturality or another hair website that will help her even more. So dont bash her. Encourage her and support her.

Can we all eventually have healthy hair by various means? Yes We Can.
(ok carried away by Obamamania but you get my point). Let's be less judgemental and more supportive(usually everyone is supportive). LHCF is not the end all of hair care. Plus LHCF members were not born with this knowlege. Everyone has learned from someone else. These techniques are not new. Alot of help here for me is learning about new products or ways to wear my hair with less heat.

I thought the young lady was cute and her attitude was really nice. She knows her hair is damaged and if you read the comments, she is very accepting of advice.

It's going to take time before she can completely get her hair in a healthy state. Remember she is just starting her journey and is getting familiar with wearing her own hair (w/only 2 strips of added hair) versus what she was doing before.

She can only take so many steps at a time as she gets to know what's healthy for her hair. There was a point in time when I was doing crazy stuff to my hair too. :look: She will learn.

I wish her all the best.

If you look to the side of her page, she says showing the progress of getting my hair back healthy. She didn't say that it already was. I think she knows she has a ways to go but you start somewhere. I think Ateya's vids are really good and I for one don't see anything wrong with what she does. Heck, if its the heat thing, i know tons of members on here that use a lot of heat, me being one. Not everyone can airdry and do other things. Being on here, we should be able to recognize that everything doesn't work for everyone. The heat may be the devil to you, but not to someone else. And i don't see Ateya in any of her vids pushing her regi off on anyone. I think she makes it clear that it is hers. ;)

Well, her after hairstyle is cute and it fit her face. However I feel she flatiron it way to much, she flat iron prior to putting the weave in and flat iron again after she put the weave in. It seem to me she does it out of habit. Besides that, it don't even seem like her hair was damage after she finish. Not to bad. Luckily she didn't have a CHI cause they get to hot and her hair would burn off.
