Why do Black Hair Care

magazines push weaves? There is very little information about growing your own hair and when there is some information it contradicts everything I've learned recently. They have a lot nice styles, but they use weaves to achieve the look.

I know a lot of stylists who push weaves for $$$$. What do the magazines have to gain? I see a lot of ads for places that sell hair, maybe it's the ad money they are looking at.

i think people concluded in the thread about hair magazines giving bad advice that advertisers want them to push weaves so they can receive money from subscribers. to me it makes more sense to teach people how to care of their hair instead of living off of weaves. depending on someone's hair state or the look the desire weaves will always be in need, especially when you are transitioning or growing out damaged hair. go figure. its a total mess though.
