I still use it off and on. My poor hubby came up to me one day and said I know it is your business what you do with your hair, but sweetie can you please stop puting that stinky stuff in your hair. He was so serious to. LOL
So for his sake I toned it down a little bit. He usually doesn't comment though.

the smell is gruesome and the result were minimal for me. That being said.
Anything is worth a try in the pursuit of longer healthier hair.;)

Although this product did work, I got more thickness rather than length. My hair is already thick enough! I had to stop, plus the smell, even if I covered it up with loads of essential oils, my BF still smelled it and complained. I have like half a bottle left in my bathroom. I've decided to stop using "growth enhancers" anyways, I measured my hair length after a year of no chemicals and I have 6.5 inches of NG, very average.

I clicked on the wrong option accidentally, but the real reason I gave it up was that I was not seeing any growth.

Give up MTG???? Not in this lifetime.....
I will fight anybody trying to go near my MTG. The smell doesn't bother me, and I get good growth and thickness. MTG works for me, and I'm stickin' with it....If anyone gets a whiff of the smell as I walk by...... I sincerely apologize (Yea, right!), but I ain't letting go of my MTG

I received no more growth than my usual 1 inch every 3 months. So after getting rashes wherever this touched any other part of my body, I decided to stop using it.

Let's see um...

It stank.
I ran out too soon and wasn't about to buy anymore.
Stained all my jewelry.
Too much trouble to mask the smell.
TOO oily.
Didn't get any growth.
Tired of using 'growth products' to make my hair grow. I just decided to let it grow on it's on and not force anything.

i have a really sensitive nose but i was able to take the smell for about a month or so. after that the smell of it made me want to puke. i might try it again though. i barely used any.

i get rashes (if i let it touch my skin and don't wipe it immeadiately) and my face breaks out...the smell doesn't bother me so much anymore and i'm going to continue to use it until i run out....

i gave it up for a long amount of time because i couldnt take the fact that my face was actually clearing up and then it got all rashy...but ive found my own way using headbands, baggies, and hair bands to keep it away from my neck..

but cornrows? definitely helped! and the rashes on my body are minimal except my face still breaks out...

i'm thinking that maybe the rash are new follicles of hair sprouting? thats what i'm starting to think because i was breaking out on my hairline and now that i touch it, the hair is grown back and no more rash on my hairline!

The smell isn't that bad, but I gave up using it frequently because my skin started burning and peeling on my neck and ears. So, I use it very rarely now. It made my hair grow really well though!

I got better growth w/ neosporin Af. I'll probably finish the last of the MTG I have left, but won't be buying any more.

I knew I had to let it go when my BF said.."please baby wash that out your hair." :lachen: Maybe I'll use it when he's away.

Revised response: i can't say I've given it up but at the rate my hair is growing with the MN, I may not have to deal with disquising scents, super oily hair and hiding bottles. My hair is growing faster with the MN than the MTG. Who would have thought?

the straight arrow mtg has protien in it my hair is not liking protein right now so i have stopped applying it to my scalp

The hair on my nape is already short. MTG broke it off, burned my neck and turned it slightly dark.

I still have it sitting here. Grateful that I brought a small bottle.

Luckily I found Naturallady's Boundless Tresses. Works like a charm.

The smell.

Personally I don't think the smell is bad but a lot of ladies here do. Then I gots to thinking-what if other people that I come in contact thinks it stink? One of my biggest fear is for people to think I stink. I gave it up. But if I never came in contact with other people, I would still use it.

My hair is shedding like crazy! I thought it was too much protein so deep conditioned like crazy and still used the MTG, and it has gotten worse. So it has to be the MTG. If anyone knows a way I can still use this stuff (b/c it works) along with another product to stop the breakage, PLEASE SHARE!

I gave it up because of what it did to my neck and it was just too much to keep up with. Plus I got good growth be myself.

I might try it again later, but its too greasy for me and it ruined my earrings. If I had gotten a good amount of growth from it I would have stuck with it, but at this point it just isn't worth it. I'm giving mine to my mother.

The smell. The bacon smell did not bother me, but as the day wore on the sulpher smell really started to kick in and I would smell like burnt rubber. I had to wash my clothing and bed linen 5 times to get that sulpher smell out. One day my team lead was like what is that smell and it was me, so that is one of the reason I gave up on it and it was to greasy and no growth in almost 4 weeks of daily use.

To put it simply, there was no extraordinarly noticeable growth. If I'm about to put this smelly, greasy stuff in my hair, it's gotta be worth it, and this stuff is not. I'm very surprised too since so many claim that it works well for them. Like another lady said in the previous post, I'm giving up on the whole growth product thing. I'm beginning to think there is no such thing as a product that grows hair faster.

Praying for patience,
Jackie

I stopped using it because it made my ng very resisitant to relaxers, and because for the past month and a half, I've started to not apply ANY product topically on my scalp. My scalp's now able to breathe and produce oils better. I've since discovered that I have quite an oily scalp!
