jamaicalovely Are you using Megatek or any other growth aid? What about supplements? You should get at least .50 inch per month.
BeautifulWideEyes When I was neck length french braids, flat twist into a rodset worked wonders, low manipulation and looks better as it gets old. I also did rollersets with the smaller magnetic rollers.
choppybob Just this morning, I spritzed my nape with my spray bottle mix (water, infusium, Giovanni direct leave-in and rusk smoother) and sealed with oil.
ajacks Singles are micros, right? I got good growth with micros, but I would redo the edges once a week for the 4-6 weeks that I wore them to help reduce the stress on the edges.
Coolata I have been deep conditioning weekly,co-washing 3x weekly, moistuizing morning/night, wearing satin bonnet at night and daily bunning. Also, I am 34 weeks into my transitioning. Here is a pic
complexsimplicity i jus bought a lace front. i'm so excited. that's what i'm going to be using as a protective style. i've stretched to 10 weeks before but since i've got my lacefront coming i'm going to stretch it to 12. that's the max i'll go. my hair is fine so i don't want to cause too much stress to it.
spacetygrss I just cowash then put a leave-in conditioner +/- coconut oil to seal.
Also, 1/4 inch of growth in a month isn't bad. 1/2 inch is an AVERAGE, so unless you actually see breakage or something I think you're fine. Also, many people have slower growth in the fall/winter and then it picks back up in the Spring/Summer.
