I have boiled down my products to 5 essentials. No more experimentation, no more picking stuff up just because it's on sale. I am OFFICIALLY DONE!

Is there anyone else who is?

Like your nick name, my sister name is Nayeli !!!
Well i not there yet, but i will finish with all the products i have here before i buy new ones.

Thanks Taina!

I was never much of a PJ so I don't have too much leftover stuff but I'd rather have none at all!

Me! Me! I'm only using products that I know my hair likes. the only thing I play around with are moisturizers because that is one thing i have yet to find a staple for. Granted, wash days aren't as exciting anymore without experimentation BUT i have major retention due to sticking to the same products and routine.

IMO, once you find your staples you can focus on perfecting technique because if something goes wrong you know it's not the product itself. Right now I'm trying to perfect washing my hair & applying conditioner in sections... before i was obsessed with finding the best moisturizing conditioner.

...Doesn't it make your wallet happy too?? lol

Naw I can't get down with that. I love finding new Con, then smelling it and reading the ingredients, then bringing it home and rubbing on the bottle, then thinking about the stuff I can do to my hair with it.

Yeah I need a little more time before that point. Good luck to you though.

I'm not done trying new products. I have slowed down though. I need to use up some of the stuff I already have. I started having to put stuff in the kitchen cabinets. Hubby was looking like - :perplexed. I think really hard before I buy anything. I actually haven't bought any new hair products for a while - even when I see stuff on sale. Sometimes I will pick something up but will abandon it before I checkout.

me! i think i'm done too, just cant be bothered anymore with all the many products out there. i knew i was done when i couldnt even be bothered to read the BKT threads :ohwell:, not even sure if i care about my hair goals as i used too:perplexed. Yep, i feel done.

^^^ It's probably just a hair slump. You'll be chasing that goal again in no time - trust me!

AO poo and condish forever but the ingredients in my pre-poo mixture and my leave-in/moisturizer change up. I'm almost out of KBB hair milk and afroveda shea alma and ,my order from identity is on its way( spray, hair lotion and cream). I don't horde stuff i use what i have and when it runs low i buy more.

I'm done. After much trial-and-error, I use:
-Amla and vatika oil to detangle/pre-poo
-Wash with distilled water/baking soda
-Rinse distilled water/ACV
-I moisturize with Trader Joe Nourish Spa conditoner or a homemade shea butter, coconut oil recipe
-Seal with castor oil
-Henna once a month

I admit I have been researching silk amino acids and cetyl alcohol so I can make a dumbed down version of the Trader Joe conditioner.

I don't think I'll ever get there, or if I ever want to. I am addicted to conditioners and buttery moisturizers. :lick:

I am making one more trip to the honey fig store when the bigger size of the Oyin honey hemp conditioner comes in later this month (I really want to try this) then restock on staples and maybe try one more new product which will be Darcy's daily leave in then I'm done. This will be the last big hair purchase for a while. A good while!

I'm done with PJism too. I want to use everything up then go back to the first thing I loved- Keracare Humecto in the tub. I gotta use up a lot of stuff! :ohwell:

^^^ Takes some of us a looong time to realize we should have just stuck to what worked in the beginning. I know it did me!

Even though my pjism days are over, I will still buy certain products if they will benefit my hair and are cheaper replacements for certain HGs of mine.

For example, I love Miss Jessies Curly Buttercreme (the Babycreme sux!). It's expensive as hell ($9 - 2 oz; $34 - 8 oz; $58 - 16 oz), but I love how it makes my hair feel and look. No other styling product comes close. It's the ONLY product in the MJ line that I like. I recently took advantage of their BOGO and currently have three large jars of the stuff. Should last me until the rest of the year. If I could find something cheaper that works the same way MJCB would be a thing of the past.

I don't hop on any bandwagons anymore.

I'm working on getting to that point... but my PJism is so intense... hair products be callin me from the shelves of the drugstore like "you know you want me..." and who am I to tell them no???

I feel one day I'll find "The One" when it comes to a moisturizer, when I do, i'll be done trying.
I am the opposite of a PJ so I barely try anyway lol

yes!!!! i was just saying this the other day. My staples are Jason biotin shampoo, i use the conditioner for co washes as well as v05 moisture milk. DC queen helene, dudleys DRC 28, cocnut oil, EVOO and JBCO leave in NTM or AG cosmetics fast food. taliah waajid moisturizer I LOVE MY STAPLES
growth aids is MN+BT and essential oils I went from NL to 1.5 from apl IN 7MNTS ;)

I'm done too. I found what makes me and my hair happy. The products are more expensive, but it evens out because I am not constantly trying something new. :yep:

I dont think I ever will be done...becuase just about everything works for me. The only thing I wont touch are SLS poos.

So I think I will be a PJ for life.

I'm not done yet trying different conditioners i love conditioners as for moisturizers i have my staples and im sticking to what i know that works for me.

The funny thing is for the first year and half of my journey I stuck with CoN,ORS replenishing, scurl and EVOO. When I found LHCF last year is when I wanted to change up some product and try different conditioners. I am still trying different conditioners eventhough I know what works for my hair but I finish one before purchasing another.
