I have been trying to figure this out of years now...What? How some women have shine and condition to their hair that is remarkable and noticable.

I came to the conclusion about a week ago from a famous hair stylist that cellophanes were being used. She says not using one is not an option, and that one should be used after every relaxer with out fail! I have to go find her advice in my e-mail. Most of it is all the same exect for cellophane advice.

Purpose of cellophanes(for use after every relaxer)

stregnthen hair
reduce breakage
Unbelievable brilliant shine
condition hair
add color (least important)

What has your experiecne been with cellophane and how did you find out about it?

Thank you for your time. w/b

I had it on my natural hair to protect the highlights for the summer months...BUT it dried the ish out of it. Never again. I used Sebastians clear. Good product but probably doesnt benefit natural hair much anyway.

Ayeshia your hair is so pretty. I used Sebastians clear on my hair and it's relaxed and it still didn't do anything as far as shine goes. And come to think of it , my hair was kind og dried out too.

I used the clear and it did nothing. Then I used the CoffeeBean and loved it. Got a nice deep rich brow/black color, and a lot of shine and it made my hair feel so much softer and detangled.

My stylist uses Matrix Prisms. I usually get clear or dark brown. I get nice conditioning and shine from both.

Dudley's makes them too. I have used clear, raspberry, and honey. All very nice- shiny, detangled and all that jazz.

Msdr, do u have a pic of the dudley's brand??? And how do u like these?

By the way, if you use one color at a relaxer session, can u change it on ur next one??

Is the only type of cellophane made by sebastians

No there are plenty others just for use by licensed stylists. I don't remember the name of one my stylist put in my hair over a year ago but she mixed both the clear and a light gold. If anything it brought out the natural color of my own hair with incredible shine.

I am all for them.
