I love this conditioner....I used it all through college and my hair never shedded, the comb was completely clean after roller setting. For some reason when I moved to poughkeepsie I stopped using it. It was only after I started reading this forum and heard some of the raves, I started to think hey that was a great conditioner....why in world did I stop using it...
....Matter of fact I went out at bought some today to start back using it....it was $2.49 at Sallys...I'm deep conditioning as I type.......
Has anyone had problems with the cholesterol drying their hair out? My hair grew like crazy when my first hairdresser used it (gosh I was like 18) but when I switched hairdressers after a trim that was a cut she swore that the cholesterol was the cause of my dry/split ends.
To answer your question--I don't know of any ingredients in cholesterol that would dry your hair out and damage your ends. Cholesterol is supposed to be very good for the hair. Now, there is one brand that contains Sodium Laurel Sulfate (which is a drying ingredient), but it's near the bottom of the ingredient list.
Unfortunate as it is, sometimes stylists have NO idea what they're talking about.
LeKair Cholesterol (pink) is the only cholesterol I've ever used!
I've been using this product a little over years 10 years and
I love it! I like to sit under the dryer with it. My hair always feels
smooth and silky after using it!
the pink one is the original it's actually a peach kind of color and the green one has aloe. Never tried the green one but the peach one works wonders.
Y'all are gonna make me take out my weave and try this cholesterol. I bought two jars (green) from Sally's. As a matter of fact my aunt used this religiously on my hair one summer and my hair was everywhere(i mean it was long)!Hmmm, how long has this weave been in now?
Everyone here has talked about this product and loved it. I bought some in the past and it did wonders for my hair. I got it again before I cornrowed my hair. I just love the way the cholesterol softens my hair, and gives it moisture and health. I don't have a hooded dryer, but I use a plastic shopping bag or conditioner cap and go out in the sun, or stay indoors and be under the window where the sun shines earlier in the morning.
I highly recommend Le'Kair Cholesterol Plus (pink) over Queen Helene Cholesterol any day. I'm sold. This stuff's da bomb!!!! Toodles.
Well I use the green one and I would not trade it for anything in the world. You just cannot fine a better deep conditioner. The only difference between the green and the pink is that the green has aloe, otherwise they're the same, so you're getting a great conditioner whichever one u choose. By the way, I've also used the pink before and I did not notice a difference between the green and the pink, I just bought the green because it had aloe, otherwise, both worked equally well.
I think Queen Helene Cholesterol doesn't give much of a moisture response because of the sodium laurel sulfate (SLS) that dries the hair. Also it's more harsh than gentle. Le' Kair Cholesterol is much richer because it has more natural ingredients like jojoba oil, for example. I just couldn't get enough of trying this stuff. Toodles.
dag why did i look in this thread. i do love cholesterol conditioners because i am heavy handed when it comes to conditioners and the thicker the better for me. everytime i go to the salon (once a week) they always put this in my hair and always comes out really soft. hmmmm i may have to look into this for my condition washes. God bless you all.
This is myf fav deep moisturizing condit!!! I've been raving about this a lot lately and i cant say it enough.. for its price its the best thing out there!
It provides slip, softens like nothing else, is thick and has nice ingredients.
I tried it today.I put on lots and Used it with a heat cap for 30 mins.
My hair didn't feel dry after but it didnt feel super great either.I guess I was expecting too much.Don't get me wrong...it is good but I just didn't find it soo super moisturizing.Maybe it is because I have lots of new growth and need a touchup soon.I wont pass a verdict til I try it when my hair is freshly done
I just tried this one this weekend. It was so cheap, how could I not!
It gave my hair a lot of slip during my comb out (I comb out in the shower with conditioner still in), but my hair dried a little more crunchy than usual and I had to try a few different
leave-ins to soften it up. I usually just need a little braid spray or Hot Six, but I had I usually don't need to follow up with so many extra products when I use Motions conditioners. I guess I'll
stick with these for now! It's hard to find something that both my new growth and relaxed hair likes.

The only cholesterol conditioners I've tried are Queen Helene
, Lustrasilk
and Hairlox
but I think it has been discontinued (I can't find it anymore). After reading all the raves, I'm going to give Le Kair a try. Is this the one you all are talking about?
I just used it last night without heat. Actually I just bought it yesterday and going to do a condition wash and was looking for a deep conditioner to use. My hair came out soft and nice. I dont know if lekair did most of the work because i did use v05 strawberries and cream and left that on a little bit longer than i wanted and just rinsed with distilled water, then adding s-curl, coconut oil and loreal smooth intense serum and put a bun. hair is soft has shine and is straighter. i dont know what contributed what but i do like the thickness of the lekair cause i do tend to be heavy handed with conditioners. God bless you all.
