I know some of our quests here is long, healthy hair, but for me, I am feeling a bit different. I looked at a pic of my hair a few months shy of being 2 years natural and I long for it. It was in a cute low pony and it was just, well, too cute! Ever since my hair has grown longer, it seems that it is straighter in many areas, causing me to 'pat down' my hair more.

Girl, I've been talking about wanting to try a cute, short cropped natural style. I don't know if I'd do it, but I think about it a lot.

I did the BC on October 6, 2005 and it was the most freeing experience. I went from having relaxed hair 2 inches past my shoulders to natural hair less that an inch all over.....I know we are not talking about big chops but it was a freeing experience!! I'm thinking about keeping it short and natural for a while too instead of concentrating on length. I concentrated on length for 5 years as a relaxed head. Now I just want to enjoy the natural experience..... :)

Im itching to BC but I think I want to grow it batural to bra strap. But hey its just hair :) If you want it go for it :)

You definitely have to be ready for it! It was a shock for everyone around me, myself included!! But I had been preparing myself for it for some time.....

Nice album. I love your curve cut.

It seems we always want what we don't have at the moment. I have the short natural hair. I want to have long natural hair. I seen what the future promises. I do love wearing my curly fro. Yesterday I pulled back a section of the front and had the back out. I need to post some pictures.

there are times when I want to cut it all off... these are the days when my hair feels really dry and just isn't cooperating. I actually thought about cutting the hair of my crown right off and i was like "I doubt anyone would notice, right? :look: " b/c that part just gives me TOO much trouble. nOw i'm like, yay, i can't wait to get to my ultimate goal! Evidently though, I will transition to natural, but not for a few years.

Seeing so many ladies with beautiful natural hair has been having me thinking about cutting off all my texturized ends and go natural....but I know better! I won't do anything implusive, but the taught of going natural has been on my mind!

I was texturized (unintentionally for several months and didnt realize how much I enjoyed it until I corrected it. Now I miss being natural even though I enjoy being relaxed at the same time. Im just so torn right now:(.

Well you all. Mine is gone becaue I had to chop it. It ws broken off all over the place. So I got the sciossors and started cutting. I want my hair to grow out not down. 'Cause I like the wild natural look. I would like at least a six inch fro by October of next year. If it is longer i will be very happy. I just orderd MTG for the thin spots. Are there any TWAs out there who want to do the Afro challenge? :lachen:

it's crazy but sometimes I feel like cutting my hair off! so that I don't have to deal with it so much. I never will do it but I think about it a lot.

I have definitely been there before, but right now I'm just enjoying my hair! :D You will get past it...just hang in there. :yep:

i got tired of trying to grow and maintain my relaxed hair like 24/7, deep conditioning, moisturising and relaxing. ugh. one day, i was bored, grabbed my scissors and cut it all off. can we say freedom??!!!! sigh......pure heavennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Sassygoddess u can always get a short weave do to get the focus of your hair cause i know sometimes we feel like chopping everything when things dont go our way and when we baby it back it gets better. thats why my hubby always hides the scissors ahahhahha because he knows its always temporary  and we might regret it

I have grown my hair out and then cut it off for years. If you want to cut it, go for it! It will grow back. I really liked my hair when it was really short. I wore a 1-2 inch cropped natural curly cut. It was sooooo cute. Didn't have to worry about the weather, working out....nada!

Everytime I have to deal with it (i.e. wash day!), yep - I definitely want to cut it off.....

Here's the low pony that I crave:

Hey Zeal,

My regimen is now simpler than before i m trying to do less and even considering a full weave if i get frustrated with looking at my hair. it is always hidden.

i just leave the hair alone in 10 cornrows or do many little braids that i keep under a plastic cap 24/7 it helps the sulfur not solidify in my hair as i apply mtg daily and put two plastic caps so nothing runs down my neck i never had a problem. and i sleep with both plastic cap and satin bonnet. i dont use shampoo anymore its been more than 3-4 months i see the difference i cowash every 3 days with vo5 free me freesia mixed with Lekair cholesterol shea butter it detangles really good my bushy hair and i get almost no shedding.

As for vitamins, i take 1 solo multi vit, 1 Vitol hair nails skin time released, 1 Freeda silica, 6 PP Biotin.

I also take daily in my water 2 teaspoonful of Carlson MSM Sulfur from Vitamin Shoppe (it contains 6grams of MSM and 2004mg of sulfur) maybe its the reason i have no or little shedding when i remove braids or wash my hair

Thanks Ekomba

Your regimen sounds simple. I will see if I can deal with the MTG.

I really want to cut my hair to about chin length, or at least get a big trim (2-3") every time I wash my hair and see my awful fried ends. Also, because it would be less hair to style and might be quicker then, and I'd be closed to having all natural hair.
But... I'm trying not to cut until February so I can see if the Silica worked...
