Re: Who in the world is Carol\'s Daughter?!?!

Hi shellz~ maybe this will help:

http://www.carolsdaughter.com/home.asp

I know, it is a "unusual" name. Those of us on the left side of the pond have to order online or by catalogue but if you live in the NE you might be able to visit her store in Brooklyn or other locations.

Re: Who in the world is Carol\'s Daughter?!?!

SO what products did/do you use by her? /images/graemlins/up.gif? /images/graemlins/down.gif? /images/graemlins/scratchchin.gif

Re: Who in the world is Carol\'s Daughter?!?!

wait she has a store in Brooklyn? has anyone been there and what is the address??

Re: Who in the world is Carol\'s Daughter?!?!

Try a search to get more info. I'm pretty sure there's at least a half-dozen CD threads in here somewhere that evaluate her products. I think the general consensous is you either love'em or hate'em.
I give a big thumbs up to the Healthy Hair Butter. And I like the Mimosa Hair Honey and some of the body butters.
Don't like the shampoos.

i love her ocean herbal shampoo...(her poos are the only that i will use)
i also use her healthy hair butter, hair milk (when i wear twists/or tiny braids..just something to put on the hair after i rinse..lite moisturizer)
hair honey (using that right now while i corn row my hair)
and will be using marguerite's magic to do the plaits in the back for my braid out tomorrow.

Re: Who in the world is Carol\'s Daughter?!?!

There's a few retail locations in North Carolina and looks like a bunch in New York. I'd call ahead to be sure they actually carry the products you might be interested in. I buy my CD products at a local retailer here in Atlanta- which I really like because they tend to have sales/discounts quite often to move the merchandise. Here's the nationwide listing of retail stores:

Re: Who in the world is Carol\'s Daughter?!?!

I've been trying to find Carol's and Kheil's products but I can't find them. thanks for the info.

Re: Who in the world is Carol\'s Daughter?!?!

When I was transitioning, I used CD's Healthy Hair Butter. I was pretty happy with it. Now that I'm natural, I think that it'll work so much better on my hair.

Lil side note....I had a Fed Ex shipment notice on my door when I got home from work today... Dang, I missed my HHB delivery /images/graemlins/wallbash.gif

Re: Who in the world is Carol\'s Daughter?!?!

Carol's daughter is my sister's husband niece on his cousin's uncle brother's side... /images/graemlins/rofl.gif Naw, but for real, I love her Ocean shampoo, Healthy Hair Butter, Hair Milk, Herbal Rinse (black vanilla) and her body products and frangrances aren't half bad.

Thanks i didn't know this /images/graemlins/kissing4.gif...i have found online uk sites which sells natural butters, essential oils and waxes, same used in HHB, i was going to do a little experimentation, to see if i could come up with a moisturising butter that is just as good without too much cost.

Re: Who in the world is Carol\'s Daughter?!?!

You're joking, right?

Re: Who in the world is Carol\'s Daughter?!?!

No. I'm asking seriously. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif It sounds like a very thick mixture. I'm not familiar with Carol's daughter's products...thats why I asked.

Re: Who in the world is Carol\'s Daughter?!?!

It's not honey butter, it's hair butter (where's the honey come from?) and it is thick. I don't like the smell of it and it was fairly greasy. I much prefer Asha's hair products. But if you are really interested in finding out about her hair products simply go to her website www.carolsdaughter.com. She has the ingredients listed for her products.
