I've heard a little about these products. What is your experience with them. Also, what products would you recommend. I'm thinking of trying some. Thanks!
Ive only used the Carols Daughter Healthy Hair Butter and Hair Milk. The Hair Milk is one of my favorite products, its an oil based product that moisturizes REALLY well without frizz. I use the Healthy Hair Butter when I have a lot of new growth (slicks it down really well), I also use it in winter when something heavier is needed to moisturize (caused me buildup though). I also use Healthy Hair Butter for my ends while in a bun. So overall the Hair Milk is a wonderful moisturizing product with a clean smell(great for airdrying, the Healthy Hair butter is a heavy moisturizing product as well but you have to watch out for buildup, and the smell is not all that great. Hope that helps.
I'm so excited to finally be able to respond to a Carol's Daughter post! /images/graemlins/laugh.gif I've been wanting to try them since I joined the forum last year and finally got them a couple days ago. /images/graemlins/clap.gif
The Healthy Hair Butter is amazing! It really softened my new growth.
The Hair Milk made my new growth very shiny and soft, but a little definitely goes a long way since it's so thick.
I also bought Tui Hair Oil and Lisa's Hair Elixir but haven't tried them yet.
I'm looking forward to trying some of the other products from the CD line as well.
If you do a search for " Carol's Daughter Products " from last year, there's a bunch of threads with reviews of the products. /images/graemlins/smile.gif I just got finished reading one that is 20 pages long. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif I'll try to bump it up.....
I absolutely love the Healthy Hair Butter. I use it to slick down my edges, soften my new growth, and as a moisturizer on my ends. I have purchased the Hair Milk, but I didn't find it to be all that--maybe I should try it again b/c everyone else raves about the results they get with it. /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif
I've only used HHB. I used it during my transition to help keep my demarcation line moist. It works really well at slicking down the hair. It has a very strong "herbal" scent, call me weird but I liked the scent. I haven't tried CD products now that I'm natural... but I have a bunch of her products on my Christmas list /images/graemlins/cool.gif
I use CD Healthy Hair Butter, Hair Milk, and Mimosa Hair Honey daily. I just love these products...well, I guess my hair doesn.
I used the HHB to smooth my hair and keep it moisturized. I put the Hair Milk on my length since it's easier to apply than HHB. I use the MHH for shine.
I have tried the HHB and the Mimosa Hair Honey also the Hair Milk. The Tui Oil and Lisa's Hair Elixir.
Now for the results HHB is great love the smell even though some don't.
Hair Milk just sat on my hair (will try again still some left)
Mimosa Hair Honey very oily if you use to much but good overall.
Lisa Hair Elixir & Tui oil smells woodsy but is a good oil for the scalp it has rosemary in it.
