Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

how is it going for you? Which products did you purchase? Do you like/dislike them? Are you planning on purchasing more? Do you think they are not all that or are they all that and then some?

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

I am definitely buying the hair butter when I run out. It works great on my new growth.

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

I love the healthy Hair Butter. I will be buying this again. I have the hair milk too, but its not exactly floating my boat. so who knows if I'll buy this again.

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

I just got an 8 oz jar of Mimosa Hair Honey from her store in Brooklyn. I love the way my hair shines with it and it smells soooo good too. I also got some other products from there but not for hair. I was eyeballing the Rosemary mint shampoo, it seemed very liquidy almost like the consistency of water but I think Im going to try it next time I go. Over all, I would definitely go back for the hair honey and other stuff.

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

I got an 8oz of the hair milk and unfortunately no matter what I did, I couldn't keep it from separating so I emailed them and asked for the "trick" to keeping it together. They told me there wasn't a trick and it wasn't "emulsified" right or something and they are sending me a new bottle. It should be there now...will get when I return home. I don't plan on throwing out the separated bottle though. I WILL figure out something.

CD products are a staple for me but I don't plan on "trying" anything new anytime soon.

My hair milk separated also about a month ago but I thought it was normal because when I asked everyone gave me suggestions. Oh well

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

I actually didn't expect them to ship me a new product but they offered so that was impressive. It's interesting that so many people get bottles like this...

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

I haven't had any problems with my hair milk, it's a thick and creamy consistency, I use it like a leave-in, I love this stuff. I also use the mimosa hair honey and the kizzy, I really don't care for the hair butter, and I hate the smell.

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

Hey Hairlove, if a product is supposed to emulsify, isn't it supposed to seperate because the two ingredients won't and don't mix? I think it is kind of like oil and water. Anywho, I haven't had any problems with my seperated hairmilk. I just shake before use and apply. It it great for softening hair and giving it that silky feeling.

The HHB is great for softening up the newgrowth to help stretch out relaxers.

The Hair Honey gives incredible shine and helps smooth frizzies.

In the future I plan on trying I would say the entire line. Boy are my pockets gonna hurt! lol

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

DSD - I would not doubt that I may have misused the term emulsify...I just know that the person who emailed me said something about emulsifying...

I still used my hair milk on my hair...I just kept shaking it. I had another small bottle that used to separate..then one day I looked at it and it was nice, white, and creamy...never separated again but I have no idea why. I figured it was b/c it got cold. But I even tried the refrigerator trick with my new bottle and it didn't work.

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

You know what, the bottle that I have now seperated for the first few uses and now it doesn't seperate anymore. I don't care what it does as long as it does the trick. I am totally in love with Carol's Daughter's products, thanks to you!

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

I have her Mimosa Hair Honey. The scent is heavenly. I had the hair milk and hair butter, but I wasn't too crazy about it.

DSD

I sure did. I think it cost around $14.50. I love that stuff. But you know when it comes to CD products I am biased.

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

I have the Hair Butter, Hair Millk, and Mimosa Honey. The Hair Butter is awesome and I'll definetly be being that in the future. The Hair Milk is okay, but I don't use it all the time. It's a good thing that I only bought a small bottle. The Mimosa Honey smells great and I don't have to use too much of it. I still have the 4 oz. jar that I got in August. When I run out of that, I'll order some more of it. There really isn't much else that I'd like to try.

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

OK...

I purchased "The Saturday Morning Special" which has a little of everything.

CD Herbal Shampoo
Rosemary Mint Detangling

This shampoo is great !!! I did baking soda and water to completely clean the hair then, applied this product. As I applied this product one can tell the balance of shampoo and oil. It doesn't strip your hair at all !!!

CD Herbal Rinse
Mist - Lady Day

I applied this product after the shampoo. My hair felt so moisturized!!!

CD Hair Milk

It works really well with the HHB.

CD Healthy Hair Butter

Applied this after the Hair Milk. It made my hair very very soft.

CD Tui Hair oil

I messaged this product into my scalp. My scalp thanked me!!!

CD Kizzi

It's great for up do's. It feels like a heavier version of the Mimosa Hair Honey with a slightly different sent. My hair is very short. When I put it in a low pony this stuff is great!!!

BTW...
I also purchased another product not listed on the site ( I could be wrong).

CD Shea Butter Hair Smoothie

This product is like a black greek god giving me a peticure! Yes, a treat for your hair!!!

I hope this information helps....

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

Blacktresses,I am glad that someone else has had the wonderful experience with the Saturday Morning Special-especially for only 28.00!! I also purchased a Jamaican Punch Set and some of her mini fragrance oils-how wonderful they are!!

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

When CD had the free shipping a purchased a couple of some of these: HHB, Hair Milk, Marguerite's Magic, Kizzi and Mimosa Hair Honey.

So far, I've only tried the HHB for a few days on 2 different occasions. The 1st time it didn't go so well and I think it was because I was experimenting with using Avalon regular conditioners as a leave-in as well as some other things. The second time I used it with one of my favorite leave-ins Bumble and bumble (for about 4 day) and it worked much better. The only thing I don't care for is that my hair ends require something more than what the CD HHB could provide. If I'm not mistaken there are others that have found the need to put something extra on their ends with this product as well.

Other than the hair end thing and my need to not go beyond 4 days (goal was 1 wk) before washing the product was alright. Once my product is gone I will have made my determination as to whether or not I will purchase it again. I want to make sure I give this product more than a fair chance.

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

I love their oils... I use the Khoret Amen, lisa's elixer, and the tui oil... I also used to use the hair milk but I found a replacement

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

Cocoa, you can't leave us hanging what's your replacement for the Hair Milk?

I have the hair milk & the Hair Honey and I love them! Will definitely re-order and next time get a larger Hair Milk!

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

I use the healthy hair butter and it's exactly what my hair needs over the cold and dry California winter.
My hair loves it, and I feel it adds extra protection against the strong winds. I will repurchase and continue to use the hhb until the weather warms up.

Re: Those of you who have Carol\'s Daughter products...

I got the HHB and the Mimosa Hair Honey. I've found the HHB to be the perfect balance of what I need in a moisturizer: it's thick enough but not greasy. I'm really liking it! I remember someone on another post mentioned they weren't feeling the medicine-like smell...I've noticed that too, but I think I'll just grow used to it.

I LOVE the hair honey
clap.gif
. Ditto to all the previous comments noting its smell: it's delectable! And the hold & control it gives isn't heavy so I feel more comfortable using it everyday (versus gel).

I won't be running out of CD products anytime soon, but when I do, I'll definitely reorder.
