Who does their own cornrows?

I do my own cornrows, my mother taught me how to properly part my hair at 7, I always use a rat tail comb...I use the pad of my index finger to "feel" the part to make sure it's straight

I do. Sometimes I make sure it is straight by using the mirrors in my bathroom. Other times dh helps me. I also have gotten really good at feeling it to see if it is straight. HTH Q
