White Rain Tropical Coconut (WRTC)

I am so surprised to hear people have trouble finding this. They have it EVERYWHERE here. Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, and every grocery store. It's usually the 33% bonus size, too! I guess that's why I usually stay only about 3 deep in the stash. That's where I'm at right now. This stuff is the ish!!! :infatuated:

WRTC is my primary co-wash conditioner. I buy 'em 10 at a time. It is thick and rich and leaves my hair smooth and moisturized. I follow it up with another cheapie (Suave Refreshing Waterfall Mist) for detangling.

Almost all of my staple products are cheap cheap cheapies !!!!

ETA: I get it at Walgreens.

Where do you find this in NYC? I've been to the Walgreens at union square, midtown duane reades, rite aids and all up in the bss and 99cent stores in my area of Washington heights. =( If I found White Rain anything it was always the regular no tropical coconut just coconothing.

Try one of the grocery stores. If not, pm MonaLisa. We all know she knows where to find it in the city

I swear Mona is off the chain~ I don't even use WRTC and I read all 13 pages of this thread just to laugh :lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen:.

I like VO5 Strawberry and Cream and just bought Suave Tropical Coconut and Suave Humectant since that is more popular than White Rain I am on the fence with Suave haven't used it enough to render a verdict.

I tell you one thing, this thread almost made me want to go try it *WRTC*.:lachen::lachen:

I love WRTC it’s one of my favorite conditioners for co-washing next to my beloved V05 conditioners of course , the only downside is that it’s a hard find depending on which part of the country you live in, it took me 2 years to finally luck up on some I was sooo happy to find this wonderful treasure! :lachen:

Okay so I went to the 99cent only store yesterday and the shelves were stocked with this stuff, bought one to try when I cowash in a few days, if its da bomb :drunk: then I'm going to buy a few more:yep:

I found this at Dollar Tree. It's not at the 2 Dollar Tree stores closest to my house, but it's at the Dollar tree near my job and the one by my mom's house.

The 1st Dollar Tree I went to had no White Rain products at all. :ohwell:

The 2nd one I went to had nothing but White Rain hairspray and one bottle of Lavendar Vanilla conditioner. :look:
The 3rd and 4th ones I went to were loaded down with WRTC. :happydance: The 33% bonus size. :grinwink: I bought one - I'll try it out this weekend.

Try going to the super market. I am in Brooklyn and they have tons of it in pathMark.

That would be Target #2 -- if cannot be found at Target #1, the infamous 99 cent store....

@ mnemosyne, let us know if you luck up...I can't believe that's it's not at any of the spots in WH :ohwell:...

@ Brownie...:look: *filing your comment away in my hair board rolodex..

@ Mrs.Green.... *hair hug*

I don't feel like reading through 4 pages. :nono:....Do you all think White Rain is the same as Suave? The bottles look similar. I know some companies advertise a product under 2 names. Anyone know or have an opinion??

I don't feel like it is...but that's just me...

I also feel that all White Rain Conditioners are not WRTC though...
White Rain has some conditioners that are shady...

I love this stuff so much. I buy 3-4 bottles everytime I go to the dollar store. I use tons of it. I use it sometimes right before I shampoo, then between shampoo and DC. I use it to help rinse out my henna. Sometimes I use it to detangle NG when I'm close to the end of my stretch. It is awesome.

Yes, I still use it. It's in my rotation of cowash conditioners. I use WRTC, Suave Natural, and VO5. It just depends on which one of the three is on sale when I need to restock.

Good to know! Thanks!

It works. At least for my very prone to tangling and matting hair. I will use my fingers to get it in there, then let it sit for awhile.

I was using a detangling spray but I didn't like it and this is way cheaper. You can mix some with water and use it in a spray bottle too.

I prefer VO5 Moisture Milks over this WRTC. I found WRTC too watery for my liking. I've always preferred thicker conditioners.

Wondering if this is the newer version....all my old ones and the ones I used for years were always thick.

I was informed sadly on here that the formula had changed :ohwell:. I picked up a bottle at Pathmark and it was confirmed for me. After I go through what remains in my stash, it will be a sad end for me and WRTC :( unless I happen upon some during my travels.

A fellow LHCF'er was kind enough to give me an old bottle to add to my stash... :)
