She's got such beautiful hair! He's done a great job with her twists. :yep: It looks like it would be fun to work with.

Damn that man has skills - just goes to show that if you're dedicated you will find a way !

Thanks OP for such a heart warming post !

Awww...that is TOO cute and adorable! LOL!! :giggle:

I think it's kind of funny and cute to see a man in general trying to braid his daughter's hair. But to see a white man trying to braid his daughter's black hair is just too adorable and heartwarming. :D :yep:

I'm glad they didn't relax her hair at such a young age like some families do. :nono:

This is adorable! Although Im not going to lie when I saw that Vaselene in the hair products drawer I was like this: :covereyes

Kudos to Dad! I just wish I could mail him a comb to section that baby's hair... he did a great job!

What a sweet story! It was the most heart-warming thing I've read in a long time. And I loved the little brother trying to braid his hair, too. Cute kids!

her hair looks good. he is doing a good job. now if we can just get someone to email him about not using vaseline....

this is so beautiful (i dont even care if that is a plastic fork in his hand) - i love when a man tries until he gets it right :D

That is awesome! Those twists are on point too... wish I could do my hair like that. I am so happy that he took the time to learn how to care for his daughter's hair. Thanks for posting.

This post made me smile. What a man. He is a good man and great father. Wow,

It's a shame that some of our brown kids biological fathers wouldn't even make the attempt.

Hi. I'm not criticizing...I've never seen anyone style hair with a fork and I'm just wondering where he might have picked up that technique. He seems to be doing a great job.

MarieB: I too love the photo of the brother trying to twist his hair. The last three photos of father and daughter are great as well.

SweetNikki_6: The story was published in June 08. If I were in ATL, I might have slipped a sample of coconut oil in his mailbox. According to the article, he is a professor at Emory and probably not to difficult to find online. Since the publish date I'm sure he has received mucho advice on tools, products and styles for little Miriam's hair.

somone send this to angelina joliee---homegirl needs the info STAT---

hold on Z we sendin out a life line...lol

That was very sweet. Thanks for posting. The fork was too funny. I could not have done better myself, especially when my daughter was that age. We had issues. Wish I knew about LHCF then.
