My dad attempted to braid my hair when i was 6 after his divorce with my mom. My first grade called him for a meeting and asked him to never ever ever try it again :lachen: and recommended a good braider. :yep: It was that horrible.

subhanallah:lachen:. girl that is hilarious!

That is beautiful and congrats to him for celebrating her hair. I get so sick of hearing "I don't know what to do with her hair." You educate yourself and you practice and you learn!

I think it's wonderful! Some people's hair likes grease - her hair looks great so I don't see a problem with the Vaseline or other products. The end result is good.
I wish my hair were as thick...

That was precious, I mean that's really love. He could just stick it in one ponytail or depend on a hairdresser.

I didn't even notice the fork! I was looking at that petroleum jelly & carol's daughter on the next pic after that.

Aw, this is such a good feature! Thank you so much for sharing it! I love seeing adoptive parents taking a hands on role in their child's needs.

Awww that picture of him tossing her in the air just kills me. Such a happy little face. That is love that was beautiful.

absolutely beautiful.

I was ready to go get in a chair so that I could be next. He is doing an amazing job with her hair.

That was really adorable. I hope my hubby helps me out with our future daughter's hair. Thanks for this thread. It put a smile on my face.

did anybody notice the fork he was using or that was just me :look: Beautiful girl Beautiful dad Beautiful hair Beautiful story!

What a beautiful little girl! And what a wonderful man he is for instilling in her a love for her hair and helping her to celebrate it's natural beauty and texture :yep:.

He's doing a great job! Her hair looks really healthy.

My dad used to do my hair when my mom was out of town. He braided my pigtails so tight that I could bend them and they'd stay at a 90 degree angle :nono:

Good pics!

I also remember the first and LAST time my dad tried to fix my hair and had me crying cause he did a horrible job and I begged my mother never to leave me again.

I hate to see men, black men, who don't know how to take care of their daughters. That's one of the questions i ask men who i date with daughters.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO DO HER HAIR? If he doesn't know how to take care of her when her mother isn't around then its a big turnoff. Women/Mothers have to do EVERYTHING.

Makes you not want to have kids with someone if they don't even want to take care of them.

Okay that was the last of my mascara for today. This is so sweet! Can you imagine the conversation "Honey, let me have a try at that..." Man, so sweet!

That is so sweet.

It's great he took the time out to learn how to do his daughters hair. He did a great job.

This is beautiful story. In one picture he was using a folk :lachen::lachen: How funny is that... SIDE NOTE: My brother-n-law combs my niece hair all the time. He knows it takes two to raise a family and my sister needs help, so she doesn't feel overwhelmed.

This is so touching. This thread deserves 5 Stars!!
