I just bought a whirlastyle from Claire's ($3.57 for a size Large) and I wish I had found this before I bought the Hairagami!

It's a thin, hard rubber strip with a slit in the middle and you lock the end together to make a circle. It comes in large, medium, and small, and in different colors.

I made a classic bun in half the time it took me with hairagami (plus no slapped wrists if the ends of the hairagami closed before I wanted them to) and I didn't break a single hair. Also, it was much easier to slid my hair around the whirlastyle to cover it up. It's so much simpler and more gentle on the hair.

I've included pictures in my How To section in my hair gallery

I'm glad to see you like it as well.

I found the hairagami frustrating beyond a sushi bun and a bun with ponytail. I couldn't even do a classic bun with it and my European bun always came out diagonally for some reason.

My hair is wet in the pictures so my bun looks a little soggy, but I think you ladies will like it. And even if you don't...it's only $3 bucks.

I'm going to see if I can't find the medium size, and pick up one or two of the small sizes and try out multiple buns and see if I can create some styles.

I have one similar but it's small. It's made by Goody and it's called a Whirlabun. Your right, it is simple but I need the larger one. The smaller one couldn't hold all of my hair.

I've been going back and forth to Claire's and Icings for over a month now hoping they will carry the mediums since they have the other 2 sizes. The only place that I know of that has the medium size would be the whirlastyler.com (sp?) website. The site is on the back of the package along with a few styling suggestions inside.

Edited to add: The price you paid is a good price. When I purchased mine they were $4.50. I hope that doesn't mean they are getting ready to discontinue carring the product. If so, ladies get them while can!

@Spagirl: I love the pictures in your Bun Challenge folder. Oh, Claire's doesn't have medium? I thought it was just the one I went to. All they had was Large and small so I was going to go to a different Claire's. I hope I can find it because I know as cheap as I am, I don't want to pay $5.50 + shipping (probably $3-5) if I can find it for $3 with no shipping in a store.

@ladydee36330: Thanks!
