Well ladies, I've been transitioning since August 2005 and finally got tired of those relaxed ends tangling everytime I washed my hair. So, I went to Too Groovy in Buckhead and let them cut it all off. I was pleasantly surprised at how much hair I had left over. I actually wore my hair out for about 2-3 weeks afterwards. I'm now presently wearing braids covered by instant weave. The main reason I decided to go natural was because I was tired of stretching only to see my relaxed ends look so thin. I'm not a fine haired person so I know the perm was destroying what hair I was growing. Essentially, it was for the health of my hair which is flourishing right now. Below are some pics from the day I big chopped.

Thanks for all the nice comments ladies. Robin at Too Groovy did my hair. She performed a wash/condition, steam treatment, added some type of conditioner that enhances your natural color, and my roots were blown with a low heat dryer and ironed with one high performance flat iron.
