While I appreciate the hair growth, my neck is not happy

My hair on the sides are noticeabally getting longer as well as the back (yay!) However they are now irritating my neck (throat area) because the ends curve under and constantly rub up against it. It's not the products that are causing the irritation bumps but my daggone scratching!

I know the solution is to stop and I have. Now I think I'll have to wear updo's and tuck my hair behind my ears until it gets longer.

I guess that's good news... I guess.

:lachen: That's funny because when I read the title of the thread, I thought you were talking about using MTG!!! The stuff is irritating the h*ll out of my neck, but the growth is fabulous! I might have to break out the turtlenecks:eek: !

Well the plus is that the up-dos at this point will help your hair retain it's length and so hopefully get longer quicker ;)

Time to wear a protective style I guess (if you want to protect your neck AND your hair)

No I don't have pics of my hair. I'm not that much of a techie so I don't have a fotki, web page or even pics of my hair. I guess I should at least use my camera phone as a start.

I couldn't take it anymore. On my way to bible study tonight, I found some pins in my ashtray and pinned that sucker up at the light. It was cute too! I have to be careful with that though because I've had a couple of episodes of breakage in the middle of the back of my head (where the pins hold on). So I'll alternate that with a spiral curl or flexi rod style I guess to keep the hair off.

The back is just past the bottom of my collar and the sides are bending and meeting right under my chin. Hopefully when I'm ready to go straight again, the sides will be on my shoulder.
