Which would you prefer, your desired lenght or texture?

I was just wondering... I know we're all here for healthier and LONGER hair. But if you had to choose and you could attain it a little faster, which would you want- the texture you want (ie- wavy, curly, straight, etc) or length (BSL, APL, WL, etc)? For me I would have to say length. I used to not be so impressed with my texture but now thanks to this site and my "hair education" I have come to love and appreciate my hair texture. I would just like to get to greater lengths. What say you ladies....?

Right now I would say texture cuz I'm not totally sure what my hair looks like au natural (although I have an idea).

Right now I'm fine with my texture, so I'd say length is where my goals are right now! But having it healthy is the best thing ever!

If I could pick, I would prefer wavy or curl. With this I think it would be easier for me to get the length quickly.

Definitely length. Texture can always be temporarily manipulated to get it to look however you want. Length takes years and years to achieve.

My first thought was texture because it would be a lot easier to manage. But I think I would prefer my desired length because I can change my texture.

Exactly my thoughts... that's what relaxers (for those that choose) perms, rollers, flat irons etc are for! I really want length more than a certain texture.

Texture

I have an overprocessed area on the top of my head, I'm having nape issues and my hair isn't as swingy and silky as I want it to be.... :ohwell:

My first thought was length, but then I thought how much I would love a texture that allowed me to wash and go and wear my hair out often. It's a hard one for me. I don't mind the look of my texture, but it seems pretty limiting that I have to keep it tied down all the time. But I still think I'd choose length. Maybe . . .

Length all the way. This answer was hands down for me...I don't care about having wavy hair, I just always associated that with long hair, that's why I felt that I wanted it as a child. But, now since I know that aint true. It's length alll the way for me.

Length, hands down. A quick session with a flat iron and a blowdryer will give me any texture I want from bone straight to Shirley Temple curls.... *shrug*

Besides, I love my texture!

Texture then work my way to the desired length.

Changing texture can be damaging depending on how you do it. Eventually, that damage can mess up length so...:look:

I use to wonder this... but I'd prefer texture. After experiencing a drastic change in texture, it's def. much harder for me to care for my hair and handle like I use to. Length can and will always come.

texture. mine gets on my nerve. i dont necessarily want it looser but just a silkier more even texture. i have so many on my head:sad:

Length. But you know what, this hair journey is def. a journey, but I'm enjoying. I don't think I would want to wake up WL .. I want to see myself getting there. I'm proud of my progress.

I vote length. Shrinkage makes it so hard to see progress. Right about now I'd take collar bone length unstretched.

You can straighten your hair and ect.---but imo you cant really change the way it feels/behaves....maybe look as far as curl pattern (but i thought texture was more than curl pattern)

Anywho.......
Texture. I love my hair---but if it were just soft, detangled, un-coarse/rough WITHOUT specefic products, i would be on top of the world.

I dont know what i would do if i didnt have to worry about dreds/matting, dry dry hair, ect---If i could keep my curl, but have a texture where i could just run a comb/my fingers through my hair, getting caouhgt in nothing, without so much work. Would be swell.
Some of those things for me, make getting to my desired length harder.

But you cant change anything, and luckily i've found what works for me, and i love my hair.
