Is less frequent high heat less damaging than more frequent low heat? I want to wear my hair pressed during the winter and no heat natural styles during the summer. I do not want to ruin my texture by using too much heat during the winter months. I have backed down on the heat but need more swipes of the flat iron. Would it be better to turn up the heat and do one swipe? Right now I do 2-3 swipes at 200-250 on 4a/4b hair. I plan to press every other week.

Dicapr, I'm just anti-heat all the way except for my heat cap for D/C and the roller setting dryer.
