I used to do that too...until someone suggesting clarifying. And then the products worked again, and sometimes better than they did before. I don't clarify all that much but it definitely works.

I swear by Kerastase Oleo Relax Serum. It has helped my hair become smoother esp. when I put it on and wrap at night. Their whole Oleo Relax line is good...also both of Aveda's humectant pomades. I forget which is which but one that is gel-like I use when my hair's curly and the other when it's flat-ironed. The smell is yummy too.
