hey yall, where can I find this stuff other than at the dominican shops. It's gotta be cheaper someplace else!!! Thanks! Anybody use this regularly? I liked the way it made my hair feel when they used it at the salon!

Thanks!

it does smell good,and feels good too, but they wanted 35 bucks at the shop for the largest bottle, which aint that large!!!

It's an oil generally found in some Dominican shops that is used when your hair is blown out. it really made my hair silky. I've been to a number of Domincan shops, and my hair never felt as smooth as when this oil was used. smells good too! :)

Thanks alot!!

I asked this question a while ago and never got an answer. I also searched online and didn't see it anywhere. :( I hope someone can help you.

Lolacurl,

Describe the packaging of this product. Do you have a brand name? Does the product have more than one use, hair/skin?

Thank you.

I would like to know too. They use this Asante oil on my natural hair before blowing it out. I think it comes in a clear bottle with green writing. The oil is kind of amber-colored. I know that it contains jojoba oil and some other good stuff.

evie: thanks girl! i'd really appreciate it if you'd price it for me! i can't find this joint anywhere.

imani: i also did the mad online search for it. it seems only jaselvis and luisa's have it. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....with a double arrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhh!!!!

tal: caligirl hit the nail on the head re: the packaging. it's amber in a clear bottle with green writing. i don't know that it's used for anything other than hair care.

caligirl: u go to jaselvis, right? i'd never been before yesterday, and i noticed a big difference in my hair with this oil as compared to how it turns out when i visit other Dominican shops. :)

Thanks, y'all!!!

@lolacurl:

Yes, I go to Jaselvis. I'm trying to figure out how to get the same results at home without tearing my hair out, lol. But for the time being, Santa is my best friend.

It was so crowded, and Santa was busy, so someone else did my hair. What's the best day/time to go so that you can request who you want to do your hair?

@Lolacurl:

I only go on Tues-Thurs because I don't want her to rush thru my hair. I usually go between 11am-4pm.

Thanks Caligirl. I went around 3:55 on Friday, and although I didnt have to wait, I really wanted Santa to hook me up. I'll roll in on Thurs. Thanks for the tip!

Still nobody with an Asante Oil hook up? I emailed sickbay to see if they could get it...

O.K., now I want some of this product and never have tried it before. I also emailed sickbay (waiting for a response). I also called ibeautyNY and asked. The gentlemen told me he knows the product and he's pretty sure they can get it. He told me to give him a couple of days while he looks into it.

I will also call Jackie tomorrow and ask her about this product. She's out sick today. That's a dang on shame:eek: I haven't even used this product, let alone, know what it looks like and I'm jumping through hoops for someone to sell it:perplexed :look: :ohwell: :confused:, that's just the PJ in me:lol: :lol: :lol: .

You know what, I'm just going to stop by this new dominican salon and ask if they sell this product and buy it. Therefore, I could do a little more research:sekret: :sekret: :sekret: and try to locate where it is sold. Dang PJism:lol: :lol: :lol:

I looked at the bottle, and it is produced out of Hampton VA. However, the website listed on the bottle was not correct. :( I hope that Ibeauty gets it in stock since I live here now. Having this product will solve all of my problems! :lol:

Thanks girl. Suffering it would be. I've been wondering why my hair has been dirty feeling so soon after getting it done. If they spray oil sheen in my head one more time.... :lachen: Anyway, I'm going to wait for the response from Ibeauty. If it doesn't come through, I just may have to take you up on your offer.

Imani97,

What was the name of the website on the bottle? I'm the biggest research geek and will look for until my eyes fall out:lachen: This will at least be a start.

I believe it was either asanteoil.com or asanteoils.com

O.K., I called the number and the number has changed to 757-850-2935. I called it and got the voicemail. I told him that I was part of a hair forum and that we were all interested in buying this product. I left him my number so he can give me a call back. Oddly, the voicemail didn't say that I've reached Asante Products Inc., it just read back the number and said leave a message. Keep your fingers crossed and hopefully I'll get a call back soon.

I thought that was just me and the Kemi oil. I just trashed mine. Then I found ANOTHER bottle of it and I just mixed it up with some more stuff in my spray bottle.

O.k. ladies, great news!!!!!!:D

I finally got a call from Kenneth who works for Asante Products. He has informed me that everyone can order directly from him (the company).

You can give Kenneth a call at 757-850-2935. Let him know that Lisa from the hair forum had referred you. I didn't give him the name of this site, I just said hair forum.

Also, he told me that an 8 oz. bottle costs $11 or $11.50 and their shipping varies by the state the product will be shipped to:confused: I'm not sure what shipping methods they use, but just make sure that you ask all of the questions before ordering. He also said that they usually ship next day, but it depends on their volume.

I was on the road when I got this call, but I plan on ordering tomorrow or by this Friday.:grin: :grin: :grin:

You are fabulous! First, because you took the initiative to track down the guy. It makes me mad that I had the number and didn't call it b/c his voicemail didn't sound like it was the correct #. Second, $11.50???? That is cheaper than what Jaselvis sells it for! I am so excited and will call first thing tomorrow! I may have to buy two bottles! You have saved my life. Thank you! :kiss: :yay: :notworthy :weird: :love: :woot: :clap: :bouncy: Can you tell I'm excited? :look:
