Where are the "Good Ones"??

Does anybody know where is a good place to meet guys, beside the clubs and I am done with college, so that is a no. I don't meet people no more, it is kind of sad.

I don't think the clubs are a good place to meet quality men. I met my SO online (OkCupid). Young black professional events are a good place to meet single men.

I was never a club goer, but before I got married, I belonged to a athletic club (gym) in the downtown area where a lot of single professional guys would come a work out. It was a big social scene and I was able to meet some decent men there.

Also, we had a large walking park in my town and it was a great place to meet guys and people in general; this park is known for it's lawyers, doctors, politicians, etc. going there to run/walk. When I go visit now, I still get a guy to come up to me if I'm walking an ask about my situation, or give me a card.

Just a few options. Oh and I agree with having trusted friends or family members introducing you to someone. That's how I met DH, his brother introduced us.

Church - if thats your thing
Car wash (where professionals get their car washed)
Gym
Work - if you work for a large company
Mutual friends
Reunite with old college or high schools

Good men are everywhere. Here are a few venues where I've met some good men:

Sports bars
Happy Hours (pick a spot that's frequented by a young professional crowd)
Meetup.com (find a meetup group centered around your areas of interest)
Gym/Fitness Centers/Athletic clubs
Parks with running/walking/bike trails
Through friends
NPHC events (i.e. golf outtings, boat rides, fundraisers, galas, etc.)
Library
Whole Foods/Trader Joes
Church
Professional conferences (i.e. NABJ, NSBE, BBMTA, etc.)
Coffee shops

Home Depot
Lowes
Grocery store
Fridays bar area (or any type of bar & grill restaurant)

I met my SO through a good, close friend. Do you have friends that you can trust?

Very good places ITA. I was going to list the same.:yep:

You meet a good man anywhere you are ready to.
basically, go enjoy your own interests and hobbies and have fun.

ITA...As long as you actually leave the house, you will meet men. There is no set place or gathering that will guarantee a GOOD man, you will have to do the weeding out process yourself.
