Do you get in the mirror and exam your hair and make sure it was not cut too short? That the color looks right? I get home from the shop and spend at least 30 minutes in the mirror to make sure that my hair hasn't been chopped too much, etc...

OMG...

You know my secret shame.

A little OT but sometimes when I'm getting trims I'm so nervous about moving and accidentally getting too much cut off that I'm damn near holding my breath.

I'm rather blunt because I do all of this before I leave the shop. I also make them turn me towards the mirror and show how much he/she is trimming! I also remind them of no tip if they cut too much!

If I ever went to a beauty salon for my hair, I certainly would be checking it the mirror in front of me as well as the mirror in the salon's restroom, privately, from all angles.

Me too.

I used to do the "run to the mirror as soon as I walk in the door" thing but it got old. I stopped letting stylists trim my hair so then the only reason I had to run to the mirror was to see how long it had gotten. I learned how to do everything myself so now I can totally relax and enjoy the process of doing my hair.

i dont worry about trims that much. but as soon as I get in the house I look to see if it's shiny enough. I'm obsessed with shine.

When I had access to a salon, I would immediately go to the mirror at home to examine the beautiful results (and maybe do minor adjustments to the style--but that was rare). I loved my hairdresser and trusted him, because he always did right by me! I miss him *sniff*.

When I come home from the salon, I immediately run in the bathroom take down my wrap admire the bounce that I get from the rollerset..lol. Then I do my "thang" which is putting my NTM Leave in and my oils on my hair, then I admire my shine, softeness and bounce, then I rewrap it..lol

Dang, rdm, how'd you know? :D

The good thing is that since she's never done my color, and I now henna, that's one less thing have to "inspect" when I get home!

Too funny!

ditto!

but i'm still guilty of checking it out over and over again on any and every reflective surface i get near... i'm not vain i swear...

my SO does the same thing when he gets his hair cut at the barber. it's just that we're so used to doing our own hair. :look:

I check the mirror but not for length purposes. Usually, the stylists want to get all creative and give me swirls and curls and swoop bangs, etc. I hate all that crap. I like it nice and simple! So, usually I end up combing it into a simple bob. Or, if I'm not going anywhere else that day, I'll just pull it back. (A waste, I know, but I hate having hair in my way . . . .)
