So...does this pain apply to Senegalese twists as well? I'm looking to get some but my tolerance is lower now that I'm older. Tight puffs give me a headache now.
It does! I went to this African braid shop in ATL and I came out with my brains fried and looking like Chunlin. It hurt for about a week and it was heavy as heck. I don't know how many packs they put in my hair. I kept it in for about 3 months and it was still neat.

The one I went to in NOLA was much lighter and didn't hurt at all. I told them in advance to not pull my edges tight. She listened and I satisfied.

But I do love the outcome of how pretty the braids come out
