When responding to comments in your fotki...

do you edit the comment and thank the person or go to their guestbook to thank them? WHich do you think is best? Does it really matter, as long as you thank them?

If they ask me a question, I try to go to their fotki to answer it. But if it's just a general comment, I will "edit" and respond right there.

I usually thank them on their fotki, but I haven't tried the "editing" method.

If someone asks me a specific question, I just edit and respond in the comment so that other people who may have the same question can also see the answer. Then I also put the answer in their Fotki just in case they forget to return to my Fotki to see the answer to their question.

I usually go back and sign their guestbook or something. But I can see how someone who gets alot of comments would just edit.

Me too. I have selective ADD so by the time I get to their Fotki, I'll probably forget what I'm supposed t/b thanking them for anyway so it's easier for me to edit. If I'm answering a question, I'll usually do it in both places or say in mine to check their GB. I send and receive a lot of private messages too.

Same for me, unless it is something very specific then I might go post the answer in their album.

I reply to comments with edits, usually just thank yous and sometimes go to guestbooks to say thanks again. There is NO method to my madness. I've always wondered if there was some unspoken rule about what to do...

if they leave a lot of comments i will go to their GB to say thank you, then probably leave a few comments of my own. if it is just one or two comments i will edit. for specific questions it depends.
