I think you are no longer a newbie when:
- you are not checking the hairboard umpteen times/day
- When your product stash has been limited to your top 20 products (okay 50, but you get the point)![]()
- When your SO/DH/mom/whoever is not saying "are you on that hair board again?"erplexed
- You can start a conversation with something other than "guess what I learned today?" or "OMG, I just got ordered . . ."
But most importantly and seriously,
- When you can look at your hair, see a problem, diagnose it, AND correct it without doubting yourself.
- When you can look at the ingredients on the latest wave of products and know if they will work for your hair.
- When your hair is healthy, from root to end
Good Luck![]()

I'm definitely here...it's always a protein problem
- When you can look at the ingredients on the latest wave of products and know if they will work for your hair.
I'm not taking any chances with new products unless my staples are discontinued.
- When your hair is healthy, from root to end
Working on it. One more trim should do it

I've been on my journey for about 2 monthsI've got my regimen down and technique for the most part. My hair has shown great progress and I'm very confident that I'll see my goals achieved....so when do I stop considering myself a newbie and then what do I call myself?
