there are other devil things, the aphogee shampoo is the driest shampoo ever......
THAT BIOTIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Turned me into LEATHERFACE

^^Nice progress LadyZ.

Back in the day Motions anything, cholesterol conditioners (except Hollywood Beauty Carrot one). More recent but it's been a while I'd say Africas Best no-lye relaxer- :nono:talk about under processed and dry city, that was in '05 but I'll never forget.

ETA: Profective serum that pink stuff that heats up when you rub your hands together, and the moisturizers in the pink and yellow containers they always made my hair shed.

==========

Thank You :)

Silicon Mix- at first I thought it was good, but then it turned my hair into a dry, crispy mess :nono:

Of course Pink oil moisturizer :nono:

Any shampoo that contains SLS :nono:

Burt's Bee's More Moisture Raspberry and BrazilNut Conditioner--left my hair hard and impossible to detangle. Expensive for absolutely nothing.:wallbash:

When I tried the Hair Mayo+Egg, my hair felt like straw:wallbash:

Aussie Moist Conditioner--wasn't horrible, but wasn't soft and creamy, sort of left my hair hard.

Sunsilk leave ins--I used to LOVE these for curl definition, but it seems like after a while they cause too much buildup which led to breakage

Pink oil why do they even manufacture this stuff?

Dark and Lovely (I would insert other words) relaxer (broke off even my "baby" hair)

Hair grease (that Blue Magic scares me) it ends up on my face and I'm a shiny mess

Anything with mineral oil or petroleum. too heavy for my fine hair.

Jury is still out of Mizani relaxer (my hair is very dry)

Dilly

The first one that comes to mind is the Jherri Redding Natural Protein Conditioner, because I can't get the smell out of my mind. Online reviews said that it smelled funny but that was an understatement. It smelled like sweaty monkey balls that had been out in the sun too long. But I could've taken the funk for the sake of my hair if it actually worked for me. I did a deep 10 min condition on my hair for a little extra strength, but instead it zapped all the moisture from my hair and left it in dry, knotty tangles that couldn't be resoftened with an arsenal of moisturizing conditioners.

I cannot say that the following are the *worst* products I have ever used, but, here is my list:

~NTM Silk Touch Leave In - lots of ladies rave, but I found it neither moisturizing nor detangling. Left my hair as hard as a rock.
~Elasta QP products, namely the Mango Butter and a so-called detangler. Not impressed.
~Wild Growth Oil - found it sticky and hard to use. It just sat on my hair.
~ORS Olive Oil Conditioner- did not find it moisturizing. Did not dare try the Carrot Oil Conditioner.
~ORS Hair Mayo - was not impressed; not life-changing.
~Queen Helene Chloresterol - not impressed; not life-changing.
~Extra Virgin Olive Oil - again, many ladies rave, but, my hair did not respond to it.
~Aubrey Organics GPB - not impressed, despite all of the raves.
~Fantasia IC products - not life-changing.
~Burt's Bees Avocado Conditioner - not life-changing.
~Pantene - work fine, for awhile. Apparently they contain low-grade ingredients which over time create build up and cause the hair to produce static.
~CHI Silk Infusion - aside from the smell, created static in my hair.
~Profective - actually dried out my hair.
~Creme of Nature Shampoo - was so moisturizing that it created a lot of build up in my hair.
~Luster's Pink Oil. Yuck! How is this product still on the market???

On behalf of my beloved ORS conditioner, I will say that it is a mild protein. It is moisturizing for a lot of ladies on here, but I usually add olive oil or another moisturizing agent to it.

Elasta...Glaze dripped down my forehead and into my eyes, taught I was going blind!!! Looked liked I had Jherri juice all over me...never again...Oh and let's not forget Feels like silk jel...more like feel like hay, it was horrible and smelled like Mens' cologne.

:lachen:I tried this too and it suxxx!

 Elasta QP Feels Like Silk...felt more like corn chips:lol:

Silk Elements heat protector DID NOT protect...more like ducked outta tha way! hair felt burned and dry. and it made my skin itch.:nono:
:lachen:

ITA. How in heck can a SUPER no base relaxer simultaneously scorch your scalp like a blow torch :angry2: , while COMPLETELY under processing, and drying out your new-growth  ?

Motions relaxer is a weapon of mass destruction :hammer:  !
:lachen::lachen::lachen:
U guys are hillarious!

I recommend:

Dudley's Regular Lye-Relaxer (for Broke-off/ate out hair)

Silk Elements Heat Protectant (for Greasy, fried, heavy hair)

I guess I'm the minority here but Motions :woot:

I will never use again:
Affirm
Mizani
Indigo
Precise
Nexxus
Luster's Pink Oil
Aphogee
KeraCare
Clairol Semi-Permanant Hair Color

.......Just to name a few

Dark and Lovely (aka Wack and Crappy) Hair Color

The entire Optimum Care line (Do they even make this stuff anymore?)

ORS Olive Oil in the Jar is the devil!:angry2:This hot garbage broke off a good inch of my hair...moisturizer my :censored:!

...and like some of the other ladies the Motions line did me wrong too!:nono:

...okay gotta add one more to my list...every Cholesterol Conditioner I have ever used left me with hair crisiper that fried chicken!

Also, I gotta stand up for my beloved Pantene! I know it's one of those products you either love or hate but I swear by Pantene  been using it since I was a tiny kid when they used to only sell it in department stores (...okay now I'm showing my age...)

wowowowow...I can't speak for the rest of the Motions line, but that CPR is my stuff!! Sorry you guys don't like it.:(

Anything by Rusk. My hair is not hard by nature and it dries hard using this line.

I'm so with you on the Rusk thing. I tried the calming conditioner - and was at first like "I know I did not pay $15 for something so dag-gone watery". Did NOTHING for me.

I have more but I thru them away, so I cannot remember the names..

Pantene Relaxed & Natural - Terrible
Pantene - Moisture Rich - pretty good stuff.

~Dark and Lovely hair color in Auburn is probably what ultimately brought me here!

~You couldn't pay me to use anything by QP Elasta!

~I wish I would've paid retail for Carol's Daughter products!

~KeraCare spritz?! No way!

~Fekkai Glossing Polish about undid a year of wonderful hair health!

I'll be back if I think of anymore!

Here's what I think of Luster's Pink Oil Moisturizer. :moon: This stuff made my hair hard, dry & stiff. Not to mention the shedding it caused.:burning:
